  • Small basic mixer that just plain works
Style: Professional Audio Mixer
I was recruited to play music on a 4th of July parade float. I needed a basic mixer for a couple of old ipods and some powered speakers with a generator. This little guy showed up last minute (overnight Prime rocks) and was easy to set up, powered up and held up. Super small, but when quarters are cramped, it worked perfect. ... show more

  • Great product
Style: Professional Audio Mixer
The PAD43MXUBT has all the features I was looking for in a mini mixer. I can power it with my Nexpow power supply and my DJ setup is powered by a 12v battery, making it completely portable. This mixer allows me to connect a microphone, guitar and bluetooth device easily and portable. The sound is very good, yet I have a little hum when I increase the bass pot on the 2 adjustable channels. I've not used it a venue yet, but feel good about taking it anywhere. ... show more

  • Excellent portable mixer interface for recording or jamming with no amp, but a couple work arounds.
Style: Professional Audio Mixer
I LOVE this mixer for the value and quality. I originally got it to be able to record better quality audio to my iphone either for video OR audio only using voice memo app. It's also great to use when jamming by yourself with a guitar rig and headphones. A friend and I jam on our synth rigs sometimes; I'm channel 1, he's channel 2, and we use a splitter on the headphones and jam out and record the audio to my phone with our headphones on, the quality is great, and it's very fun. BUT when recording audio only with the voice memo app, sometimes there's a weird static crackle noise but only for the first few minutes. 99% of the time this noise does not exist when recording audio with video, the only time I experienced the unwanted noise with video was when I was testing various connectors. I read another review here that said that "this mixer does not work well with apple products". I found a solution for this, it's slightly less direct and a couple other connectors are needed, but being a somewhat active musician/handyman it was mostly stuff that I already had on hand, and it still sounds great. Basically, I bypassed using the usb to iphone as the audio source. I have a synth box that I perform with at open mics sometimes, and I wanted to be able to record the audio from it. I used this set up lastnight and it worked out pretty excellent. Very happy with how it sounded. I use an iphone 12mini. I thought I'd share this in case it helps others. This is an excellent mixer for the money. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the work around I noted here, 4.5 stars? Maybe an iOS update will eventually resolve that in the future. I've only had this a few months and I've already got so many great uses for it and I've never owned any type of xlr mixer before. It's great with my synth rig and my guitar rig. Great audio recording, great audio for video. It's very portable, does the job = win/win. ... show more

  • Great value and build quality for the money!
Style: Professional Audio Mixer
Great compact mixer with big mixer vibes. Clean, clear sound. All the connections you would need to a karaoke setup. And it has Bluetooth and USB connections. The build quality if fantastic. Great bang for the buck!

  • Works good in a hockey rink
Style: Professional Audio Mixer
I dont use it in a quiet place where I can tell how good the sound is. It took some tinkering but I figured out how to connect bluetooth. I recommend renaming the connection because it was something that seemed random to me. I expected to see, Pyle something, but that's not how it shows up, at least for me. I hook up a mic and bluetooth my device to it and can play music and announce through the game. Its nice that now I can adjust each input volume individually. ... show more

  • Unusable USB digital audio interface for any decent results on Apple products
Style: Professional Audio Mixer
If you’re a musician/DJ/podcaster looking to stream digitally straight from this device, please look elsewhere, this is virtually unusable as an interface. EDIT: To be fair, I only tried this on Apple products so results may be different on PC. I also added a star since it worked fine as an analog mixer. On paper, this Pyle mixer sounded promising but in practice, it’s comes short, very short. I really wanted this to work well since it has a good price point but as they say… you get what you pay for. Based on the specs, I gambled on this since I planned on mixing a backing track (preferably Bluetooth) with multiple instruments (stereo guitar, mic and synths) then outputting the final mix digitally to an iPad Pro or a MacBook Pro via its USB interface for use in video or livestreams. (I also tried it on an old Intel iMac with same results so it’s not specific to the M1 chip.) Unfortunately, the Bluetooth connection won’t work if you’re using the USB interface. You can only have one or the other. That shoots down my first plan of recording Bluetooth backing tracks with my instruments. Since its outdated Bluetooth protocol won’t work while using this as an USB interface, I tried using the traditional line-in cabled method instead by using its auxiliary input. Out of the headphone monitor, the analog mix sounded ok, but unfortunately, here’s the biggest downfall of this mixer, it’s digital output is so unusable for just about any professional application. First, the latency is just unacceptable so it’s not ideal for recording video. There’s almost a one-second delay on the recorded audio so extensive post-editing to adjust the sync is required. Even live monitoring on your DAW is not feasible since the outputted sound comes so late, it’s essentially like a digital delay effect with the delay time turned up. Next, with the bad latency comes the distortion. There’s this horrible digital clipping on the USB input/output. Whatever cheap DAC they used on this is so sub-par, you’ll either get digital clipping/distortion or huge latency. It’s also susceptible to noise from phones and other wireless devices rendering it unreliable for any sort of live recording/ streaming. The distortion/latency/noise was so bad I hoped the first unit I received was defective and I got a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement had the same issue so it’s obviously a flaw on this mixer’s hardware design itself. And as if that’s not bad enough, it only outputs mono on the USB output. Yes, you heard that right, it only outputs mono on its digital out. So any stereo inputs and all the panning you’ve set your mics and instruments up on this will all sum to one mono channel on your digital recording. Yikes. As an analog mixer using its analog line outs, this will probably be passable since it has pan/EQ and level controls, but there are cheaper analog mixers out there, so why even bother? This is marketed as a mixer with Bluetooth/ USB interface capabilities but its cheap and outdated digital components just won’t cut it in any pro/semi-pro or even on a beginner environment. I got the bigger 4-channel model but I’m sure this applies to the smaller models, as well. Hopefully, Pyle will bring better versions of this line the next time around. I don’t like giving out negative reviews but I just want to save everyone (especially Apple users) from the hassle I went through. You’ve been warned. ... show more
