Bought for DJing but use it regularly for my laptop in my room now.
I bought this stand last minute for a party that I had to DJ for. It was my first time DJing so I do not have top of the line equipment. This is from an amateur point of view. When I first started practicing the fact that I had to look down at the laptop in order to see what's going on in Serato DJ was annoying. It also would hurt my neck/back. A simple google search/common sense said to get a laptop stand but not just any stand would work. I would need to have a stand that had the adjustability of making it higher or lower, very sturdy, and build quality is good for the price. This product has all of the things I needed. I regret not taking pictures of the me DJing but I was way too nervous. This stand actually improved my DJing that night. My laptop was right in front of me and did not have to bend down at all to see my screen. It arrived in my house in a heavy box, in which I was not expecting, which gave me the first impression that this product quality is good so far. I opened it up and there is the equipment with a sheet of instructions. Very straight forward and you shouldn't be confused how to set it up. Within 3 minutes I had it set up and this stand would not tip over at all, which assures me that my laptop is safe on it. Although the heigh adjustability is annoying to do but it takes a couple minutes at most to just do it. But overall the building process was quite easy. However, I'm also a tech geek who uses a tablet, laptop, and a computer simultaneously. The way how I have this stand set up on my desk is to the left of me on the lowest height. This allows me to multi-task my work e-mail / stream watching while doing doing more work on my main computer in front of me. This was a 2 for 1 deal that I do not regret buying. Build Quality: 10/10 Installation: 9/10 Adjustability: 8/10 Sturdiness: 10/10 Would I recommend this to others? Wether for DJing or person use? Definitely.

Right Price, great value
====2017 UPDATE======= I have been using this stand for years now, and has taken all sorts of blows and wear, but it's still kicking. One of the washers broke off, the heads that screw in the poles are slightly cracked, the base pad on one leg slid to the side from sitting in the hot summer heat of my car. I hardly ever disassemble this stand, and it's gotten slightly bent because of it -- however it easily bends back. I'm amazed I'm still using this 20 dollar laptop stand. It's survived a ton of being tossed around in car trunks and being dropped. I may be graduating to something that travels better soon though. ================== I use a Numark Mixtrack Pro 2, and while the stand doesn't fit as well under the controller as some pictures on the internet would have you believe, it does sit up well on the "feet" of the stand. I also purchased some rubber bumpers with my order, and I'm still waiting for them to come, and I imagine with those it will be a better fit and sturdier if at all propped up. I put some duct tape on the lip of the feet in order to create a little friction to hold the controller in place. The construction is solid, set up and tear down is pretty easy, not as easy as some, but you're not going to get everything from a 25$ stand. I keep all the little bits in a plastic bag, otherwise people may find themselves losing washers from the stand. I have a pretty large and heavy HP Probook 4520s, and have an extended life battery. Thing has to be one of the heaviest laptops among me and my friends. There are no issues with the stand stability, I can't say I was absolutely mashing the keyboard or finger drumming, but I did some serious finger strikes and no issues at all. I even had the stand on the second highest setting (it was stable on the highest, but it was slightly high for me. I really like the eye level control that this stand offers. I highly recommend this stand, and have no qualms about quality of build or parts. If there are any long term wear issues I will update this, but otherwise I'm extremely happy with my investment on this product.

Simple Setup, Sturdy Construction, Sleek Design

I've been working on creating a more ergonomic home office and wanted something that would raise the laptop to eye-level. I chose this stand because it didn't look too bulky and the height is adjustable. My husband absolutely loves it! So much so that I purchased one for myself as well! My favorite features are the minimal, sleek design and the versatility. It holds my husband's giant laptop and my tiny MacBook Air. It doesn't overwhelm our desk like other laptop risers and you can't beat the price. I would have given this a 5/5 but had to go with 4/5 because this does not come with assembly instructions. It was easy enough to put together but it did take me a few minutes of staring at the photo on the box to figure out. Definitely would recommend this product!

Does What It's Meant to Do and Feels Solid, Even at Tallest Setting
I knew what I was getting when I ordered this. I've seen them used by many DJs in many clubs to hover a laptop over a DJ setup. I've seen them duck-taped to tables, tucked under mixers and controllers for stability, and even drilled into custom booth furniture. They seemed to work well for anyone I asked who uses one. My use-case involves something a little different. I have a very tall, adjustable stand for my laptop in my home studio setup and I wanted something that could tuck underneath that stand and above my 10" 2-channel mixer which would hold the DDJ-XP2 for added rekordbox and Serato control. This does that almost perfectly. I say "almost" because on it's tallest setting, it is just not 100% sturdy (maybe 90%), but still plenty stable. Since I will be mashing (gently) on the pads of the midi controller it holds, it's a slightly different use-case than mounting a laptop that doesn't get jostled around too much. Time will tell if I need to bring it down one notch on the height-adjuster to get more stability, but for now it's doing what I want and making my setup look compact, neat, and professional. However, if I have to bring it down one notch, it might be a little too close the top of the mixer for easy access to all controls. I could pull the mixer out from under it a bit more to compensate, but the table in my setup is not very deep, so this option is less than ideal. Either way, I'm very happy with my purchase thus far and will update this review if longevity becomes an issue.

Great Price for a Great Stand
Better than I expected! This stand is sturdy, big enough to hold my laptop and small enough not to take up my whole desk. I really feel confident having my laptop on it with its grips to help keep it from slipping around its durability to hold my laptop with ease. I was concerned whether or not this would be sturdy enough and when it came in I was pleasantly surprised at how strong this stand is. The keyboard sits right underneath my laptop leaving plenty on room on the desk to do whatever. I love the height options so no matter if your standing or sitting this stand really meets all needs. The nice grips on the bottom also give me comfort knowing this stand is not going to slip and slide around during my moving about. I have lost a laptop because of this before. All in all this is an all around great product and I would recommend it to anyone needing to save a little space on their desk or simply need to raise the height of their laptop screen. This beats buying a stand to teach in class with when they are $100 + this stand is less than $22 works great and is quite flexible with height issues. Great for DJs, teachers, Moms, and many others. At this price you really can't go wrong.

Decent quality laptop stand for home office.
Purchased for use as a laptop stand for a home office and it fulfills my expectations. I have an older, larger workstation replacement laptop--Lenovo W530--that weighs in at about 6lbs (2.6 kilos) and this stand provides more than adequate support and stability. I assembled it with the feet outward which does require a few more inches of desktop space but allows it to better cradle the laptop, providing a firm and solid base. The metal feels flimsy out of the box, but after assembling, it is far more rigid than it looks. The stand provides enough additional height to raise my laptop to a comfortable viewing level, though I don't think the adjustment would provide enough range for a taller desk. I would definitely buy again for the price point and ergonomic function that the Pyle stand offers.

Perfect for desktop musical gear
Musicians who utilize desktop equipment know that space and ergonomics can be a struggle and negatively impact the creative process. After my first purchase of these stands I threw away all my homemade shoddy shelf remedies. I was so impressed with them that I purchased three more. Two of them slide under my main keyboard, with one holding a smaller scale synthesizer and the other a desktop synth module. The height is adjustable so that the keyboard face underneath is easily accessible. It's important to note that the angle is perfect, there is no need to move from the normal seated position at the desktop units to play, view, or control the units on the stands. Two more stands sit under my mixer and hold a MPC sampler and FX units. Again, the mixer controls are readily accessible and the knobs and MPC pads are at a comfortable angle for seated playing. Assembly takes just a few minutes, they sit flat and feel sturdy. After all they hold instruments that I'm pressing on or tapping with some degree of force. If you are a studio musician struggling with space and/or comfort, these stands are likely the solution you're looking for.

Not bad
Pros-Sturdiness, Compact, Adjustable*, Value Cons-Not Easily Adjustable, Quality Control Concerns The stand is a good stand. As you can see from my setup, I wanted the laptop screen to be in line with the other screens. When placing the laptop on the stand, it does not bounce; which was a pre-purchase concern. The box came without damage. One arm has a chip in the paint and the stand brace had a bend. The chip will be covered with a trusty Sharpie. The bend in the brace was odd considering no box damage. At the end of the day, I was able to press it together enough for the wing-tipped screw threads to catch. The gap is practically non-existent after full tightening. It also came with 8 rubber stickers. 4 go on the bottom of the stand to prevent it from sliding on the desk. The other 4 go on the top arms to keep the laptop from sliding on the stand. The rubbery material does keep both laptop and stand from sliding. The top of the stand arms has a lip on either side, positioned at the front, to prevent the laptop from sliding off. The rubber feet/stickers will do a decent job of preventing this, but the lips are added security. What I truly disliked is that the lip does not have any rubbery protection. The lip is there to prevent the laptop from sliding forward and falling off. The sound of it hitting the new plastic of my laptop made me cringe. I am sure after repeated placements of the laptop onto the stand, it will scratch and chip the laptop. I will find me a piece of something rubbery to place there to prevent this. They could have easily included one more rubber sticker to and I would have cut it in half to put on each side. Some manufacturers include an extra one "just in case" or an "Oooppps" factor. All things considered, I will not be returning this and I am satisfied. Had I paid more, I am sure I would not be satisfied. I spent as little money as possible because it's just a stand. It does its job, and it does it pretty well.
