Thought I had a bad cable or speaker, but the back right channel had just straight up died, after not even a year. It's on the affordable side but it shouldn't be THAT cheap. I only use it for surround, and I'm sure the warranty process is a nightmare, so I now have a $200 brick. Also a bunch of other user issues, like when you power off it resets settings, so you have to change it back every time. Fan is super loud you can hear it over movies. Total trash. ... show more

Very nice unit. Only issue I have is playing some older DVD/blu-ray that do not have options to specify audio format. Luckily it has an optical out, and my TV has an optical out...so I had to run a few extra cables. It is 5.2, but not official Dolby...and it seems to be hardware locked so even when you change it on the receiver to 2.1 it won't help if the incoming signal isn't PCM. I wanted this for thr pass through feature for HDMI to reduce the amount of cables going up the wall. I took off a star for this not being the case. Long story short, it is a great deal for a decently powered receiver. Just make sure you have the ability to use optical audio on your TV/Blu Ray in case of any audio format issues. This Pyle unit is a great HD ARC 4K audio/video receiver. I connected it to my Apple TV, to the TV set and speakers+ subwoofer and that's all I need to have a real good Home Theater. The sound is great. Very powerful bass as well as treble and overall very good and very powerful quality sound. It has 2 plugs for 2 microphones that are perfect for karaoke or as a PA system. You can plug in other equipment too like a DVD player or memory sticks and of course you can stream the music from your mobile phone or tablet or your computer using the built in bluetooth. It has a fine remote that allows you to manage all the functions of the receiver that you can imagine. It also has AM/FM receivers with antenas for each. It is a great receiver that sounds just like an expensive Marantz or Sony machines. I recommend it highly. ... show more

    • Receiver Stopped Working After One Week

One week after set up the Pyle 1000W receiver stopped working and produced only loud static from the five speakers to which it was connected. To assure that there was no issue with the connecting wires they were removed and replaced. Still only static. I replaced the faulty Pyle receiver with another brand (Yamaha) and the system worked perfectly. After back and forth with Pyle providing proof of purchase in the end Pyle refused to refund the cost of the receiver. Don't waste your money on this receiver! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First I had to email them constantly to let them know the unit stopped working I included the invoice number so they could find it . But of course they couldn’t be bothered to look it up. So because the invoice from Amazon is protected information I had to call Amazon then they sent a link to get the invoice. Then after going back and forth they will repair it but I have to send it to them and pay for them to send it back to me . So in my opinion it’s not worth buying. It’s too much hassle. True case of buyers be careful. It looks good but if it fails your stuck with the bill. FYI the warranty from Amazon doesn’t kick in until it’s been a year. The receiver arrived safe and sound. It was easy to set up the connections. It sounds great right off the bat. I needed to spend a little time with adjusting the various volume settings to suit my preferences. The Blu-Ray player looks very sharp through it.
