I had been looking for good quality no maintence adirondack chairs to replace a pair of old wooden adirondacks that were in bad need of repair. I didn't want cheap lightweight plastic chairs that I would worry about in the wind, but I was finding that better quality "non wood" chairs cost $250+ in stores. I started looking on Amazon before prime day, and saw these chars. They looked like good quality, they were heavy, and they had good reviews. They came with the seat and the back preassembled, and it took my husband about 15 minutes to assemble each chair with a cordless driver. The item has remained in perfect condition despite being exposed to the sun, rain, and even a light snowfall. There are no indications of degradation, warping, or fading that I have observed. Following a hard day, I am able to settle in and genuinely relax thanks to the ergonomic design and substantial seat depth that provide enough support for both my back and my legs. As I take pleasure in the peace and quiet of my outdoor haven, the wide armrests provide the ideal place for me to rest a book, a drink of lemonade, or even my laptop. Awful experience! Some parts were mislabeled and when I had to disassemble and reassemble correctly the pre-assembled pieces pulled apart, stripping the holes the screws were in. Even if the holes weren’t stripped the screw heads required a special screw driver head that most people won’t have in their tool box (neither Phillips head nor flat head). I tried to take to the identified UPS Store to return but because it was partially assembled and didn’t fit in the original container I couldn’t- I was told for UPS to box it I would be charged $145.00 which Amazon would not reimburse to me. So I took it back home and spent the time necessary to disassemble and fit back in the original box. Very disappointed in both the product and Amazon’s policy for furniture that requires assembly. ... show more

I was disappointed with the workmanship of this chair. Before I finished putting it together it, I had to repair one of the pre assembled arm pieces. The screws were not holding. I opted to repair it and hope for the best as it would have been more of a chore to return this large heavy item. My advice is to throughly check the pieces before starting assembly. ... show more
