Color: Graphite/Black: Anti-static - 1 lb (454 g)

Features

  • GRAPHITE WAX: Anti-static ski and snowboard wax! Designed to make your ride fast for as long as possible, Purl Wax Black is a graphite wax blend formulated to overcome static friction in cold, dry winter snow and repel wax contaminants in spring slush snow. Rub this graphite wax on top of our Green/Sub Zero or blend with our Yellow/Warm Spring waxes for a faster, superior glide and durability in every season.
  • ALL SNOWSPORTS: Provides optimal glide on all bases! Purl Graphite Wax is the perfect winter and spring add-on for Alpine, Nordic, and Cross-Country (XC) skiing and Snowboarding, Freeride, and Snowboard Cross (SBX).
  • ECO FRIENDLY: Purl Wax Black Graphite is made with non-toxic, biodegradable wax blends that are free of harmful chemicals and absolutely NO Fluoros/PFOAs/PFCs. As a member of 1% for the Planet, 1% of all sales are donated to environmental conservation.
  • HOW TO APPLY: Rub on to blend! A great way to get an even distribution of the graphite wax across your base is to crayon it in, taking the block of wax, no iron, and rubbing it across the entire surface of your snowboard's or ski's base. After that, iron and scrape as usual, or if you have a cork, you can rub-it in with the friction of a cork!
  • PURL WAX: Committed to performance and the environment! A Colorado Company, family-owned and operated since 1999, Purl Wax was founded to accelerate the transition to eco-friendly, fluoro-free ski and snowboard waxes. We proudly offer a full range of performance-driven ski and snowboard waxes hand-poured in the USA.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great value and fast!
Color: Purple - All Temp: 10 to 32F - 1 lb (454 g)
So glad to purchase my second pound of Purl purple. The first one lasted years and has served me very well. I use this wax on all my skis, slaloms to139 under foot pow boards. For the most part I'm on fat skis, off piste with lots of slow traverses, my days average about 20k. After a wax I ski 'em two days, switch sides, two more days then wax. When I stick to this schedule what degradation there is seems to happen in the first half day. Super pleased with this wax, it makes those slow traverses not so slow. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Picture with all 5 colors, is actually just 1lb of purple.
Color: Purple - All Temp: 10 to 32F - 1 lb (454 g)
Hey, I cant find a button to contact the company or start a return/replacement, so just leaving this 3 star until I can fix the issue. Purple will get me through most of the season in the Mitten but being Michigan, the weather changes drastically all the time. "Is it going to be -2 or above freezing by the weekend?" So I'd like choices on deck. I thought I was getting a small chunk of all the colors and not just 1lb of purple. The menu looks diff for me now, than it did the last couple weeks or so. Theres obvious packs of 3 i didn't see before. Yo, please, Purl - do us a solid and just change that picture to a block of purple and not all 5 colors. Extremely misleading. I hate to return it and wait longer to hit a resort, but I cant justify spending 70 on wax. (Another 40 after just spending 30) ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Green wax not good in cold
Color: Green - Artic: -10 to 5F - 1 lb (454 g)
I was disappointed the Green wax did not work skate skiing below 5 F. It was sticking to the snow. It seems to work well in anything above 10 F.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent wax, durable, and inexpensive
Color: Purple - All Temp: 10 to 32F - 1 lb (454 g)
Having used Swix waxes for the longest time, I wanted to try something new last ski season to see if I was missing out on any other products out there. I am a New England skier that gets out for usually 15-20 ski days a year consisting mostly of Vermont, but do end up at the Pocono region ski areas. Applying the wax is no different than using any other non-fluorocarbon ski wax (such as a Swix CH7) - use your iron to melt it and drip it onto your bases (for a point of reference, I have my Swix T74 Ski Iron set to the setting for CH7, which is 135 degrees Celsius on the iron). The wax goes on smooth, and dries in the same amount of time as any other wax. Scraping excess wax off the bases seems a little tougher than a CH7, but it is not overly difficult to do so like some harder waxes are. From a skiing standpoint, the wax felt great under my bases - had a great amount of glide on my ski days with temperatures ranging from single digits to the low 30's. The wax would last me approximately 4-5 days, which seems to be a little more durable than the Swix waxes, which would generally get me around 2-3 ski days. Overall, if you are thinking about trying out a new brand of wax, this is certainly worth giving a shot and I've been happy that I made the switch over. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Warm Weather Bias
Color: Purple - All Temp: 10 to 32F - 1 lb (454 g)
I just started using Purl All Temp Wax this season in CO. It performed well in the early season on man-made snow with temperatures in the 15-30F range. If temperatures are consistently lower than 20F, this wax causes skis to get a little sticky. Blend in Purl Blue (cold) as the weather starts to get consistently colder. Purl is pretty durable. I get 3-4 days out of a wax on hard-packed groomers before a noticeable decline in performance. With 2 kids racing, we go through a lot of wax. A 1-lb block lasts us about 2 seasons. It would last post people years. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars First time "waxer"
Color: Purple - All Temp: 10 to 32F - 1 lb (454 g)
Have been wanting to learn how to do this for a while now. Especially since the whole family is up on the mountain now and a wax and edge/tune at the shops is $20-$30 each. Then throw in a family trip to Colorado coming up. Borrowed a buddies iron and scrapers and bought the 1# block and set to work. After some YouTube and work I ended up doing 3 snowboard and 5 pairs of skis. Like some of the other reviews stated a lot of wax seems to end up on the ground. Which could just be me putting on too much wax in the first place. Even with that I only used a little more than half the block. As far as the performance, worked super well. Temps on the mountain didn't get above 21F and everything worked super well. No sticking or stalling at all. Will definitely use the rest of this block and see how "all temps" goes! ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Durable, Inexpensive, reasonably fast and has held up well in a variety of conditions.
Color: Purple - All Temp: 10 to 32F - 1 lb (454 g)
This is a big chunk of wax, it will last me a long time. It doesn't have any weird smells and it seems to be very durable. It seems to melt a slightly higher temperature than I was used to but it moves very well and sets up hard and scrapes very well as long as you have a very sharp scraper although it took a moderately high amount of effort. I typically have used Swix and One Ball Jay waxes in the past and this seemed to take a bit more effort to melt and scrape but flowed out better and lasted longer the the One Ball Jay did. The gray buff pad it came with is pretty decent as well. I chose to use an all temp wax this time and it has turned out well, and I haven't felt the need to use any top coat on it. We used our boards in powder in Utah as well as the usual Arizona hard pack and manmade groomers and even some icey night time winching and it seems to have held up very well. I would definitely buy it again. ... show more
