I usually mix this half and half with the Rose Ivory shade to match my skin tone, and apply it with a damp sponge. It delivers amazing coverage, better than my foundation (Clinique Superbalanced), and it’s the best option when my skin breaks out. Although it has sunscreen filters, I don’t rely on it at all for sun protection. There’s no way I could apply 1/4 tsp to my face without looking like I’m wearing a mask, which is why I apply it with a damp sponge to sheer it out. It feels heavier than most foundations, and it definitely transfers! But it provides great coverage and it’s really fast to apply on weekends/days when I’m in a hurry and just want to improve the look of my skin without putting on any other makeup. ... show more

A lot of my favorite foundations have bad reviews about scent from others online so I usually can handle some strong smells if I like the product enough. Yet this was too much for me. I can't remember the last time I was grossed out by a smell. I am fair and wear L'oreal N2 and didn't find this too dark. I find the grey blends out quickly. This is most likely due to how watery it was. Now similar to what I said about scent before, I usually wear runny foundations and don't mind. But this one is REALLY watery. Overall there wasn't anything that wowed me about the product or coverage. It was raved about so much on Youtube but there wasn't anything specific that makes me want to re-buy this. ... show more

… olfactory-sensitive folks. This BB cream applies nicely with fingers, then pounced over with a damp beauty sponge (that’s been wrung out in an absorbent towel first). But even the lightest shades wouldn’t suit a fair-skinned person. Also, it’s more opaque than I would’ve expected—not a bad thing, necessarily—and thicker upon application, but using maybe a pea-sized amount to cover the face would do which unfortunately makes this unsuitable for proper sun protection. Basically you can go for an overdone-makeup look to properly utilize the sunscreen aspect of the product (and might as well with how strong the physical sunscreen/titanium dioxide smell is—which doesn’t fade at all to me throughout the day—because that’ll surely stick with you), or you get a nice-looking BB cream without the sun protection if you apply it in a natural-looking amount… So best case scenario: This product is amazing for someone who wants to start using sunscreen, and doesn’t want a lot of layers underneath to achieve a full-face makeup look. If you live closer to the Equator, I wouldn’t recommend this as a primary form of sun protection. For me, I’m just going to stick with the Dr. Jart Camo Drops for natural-looking coverage with some sun protection and maybe use this on the days I want heavier skin camouflaging, still with “some” sun protection; and on outdoorsy days, I’ll make sure to use EltaMD’s UV RESTORE (zinc oxide-based = better healing properties and no stinky sunscreen smell) physical sunscreen partnered with either listed-above tinted sunscreens for proper protection. ... show more

Okay so I started by ordering 23, then I ordered 21, and then a darker one and a lighter one (13 I think). But I did that so I could mix for my perfect shades throughout the year. They’re cheap so why not? It’s not cakey and I’m constantly glowing. Sometimes I’m a lil too Dewey but that’s cuz I’m an oil slick naturally. But I just use Fenty blotting powder or Wet n Wild translucent powder and I’m good to go! This is the best BB cream. And it lasts for a decent amount of time! ... show more
