  • My dog loves it!
After struggling with stomach issues and vomiting and refusing to eat all together I finally stumbled upon this purina pro plan food and I am so glad I did! My dog loves this stuff! I don’t even have to mix in cheese to bribe her to eat it and her belly seems much better too - almost 3 months now with no vomiting! Nice healthy poops and a great appetite plus her coat is silky soft like when she was a puppy! ... show more

  • My dog loves it
My dog devoured her bowl and the cats tried to eat it too. She loved it

  • Very extra large bag of good kibble
Was fostering two Great Pyrenees for a few weeks and this food was perfect in feeding them and getting their coats back in good condition. One of the dogs had itchy skin and this food did seem to help relieve that along with a few baths. Dogs liked eating this food and had no digestive problems with it. ... show more

  • Good dry food, but not for allergies
I was happy to try this dry food out for my two pitties and it arrived quickly. I was concerned to see it advertised as a fish-based food, when I could see on the ingredients list that it has a beef-base to the formula. Usually when dog owners are looking for a salmon or trout food, it's due to allergies. Beef is a common allergen for dogs, so it was disappointing to see that. My dogs, however, do like it. Neither have allergies and are able to eat all kinds of food. On this dry food, neither had upset stomachs and no one had excessive gas (they are pitties, so there's a known level for that LOL). Their stools are not soft and mushy and not too firm. Their skin has not become itchy or anything, and they seem in good health on this dry food. So, it's a good, mid-range dog food but not for anyone with allergies. ... show more

  • Tried this for my 2 large dogs
I have 2 large dogs, a doberman and a German shepherd. The doberman has an iron stomach and can eat anything, but the German shepherd has not been so lucky in that department. His stomach is quite finicky and he has a real problem with chicken. I was excited to see this didn't have any chicken ingredients listed, as it's hard to find foods that don't have it. We've only fed this a couple times and we mixed it with their regular food, to avoid issues with changing their diet, but so far we haven't seen any issues. I will update my review if anything changes as we haven't been on it long term yet. ... show more

  • I normally get this brand in a different flavor
I buy this brand in a different flavor regularly, but one of my boys tends to have a sensitive stomach on occasion so I thought I'd try this variety. This food has a fishy smell, but that is to be expected, it is salmon. Date on the bag was well before the expiration date. Both of my dogs ate this fairly well, but I am not going to continue feeding it to them. I don't know if it just digests super fast or what, but they are always starving way before their next meal when they get this food. It is to the point where sometimes they will eat grass because they are so hungry, then throw up, or they even more desperately beg for anything you are eating. I went back to their regular flavor/variety of Pro Plan food and stopped having this problem. I'm a fan of the brand, just not this flavor. ... show more

  • My pups love it
My pup has a possible allergy to chicken. The vet recommended switching foods. We ordered this and my girls absolutely love it. I mixed with the other food we have. They tear into it. Before my girls would knibble here and there. They are free fed. There are some mornings I will come down and the bowls will be empty. Pups approve of this. ... show more

  • Less product for the same price
This is a very average food and the only reason I give it to my dog is because my vet recommended it because he has a sensitive stomach. However, I do not like being treated like a fool and get my subscription changed from the 35 lb bag to the 34 lb bag for the same price. This will be likely the last bag I will buy as the benefit and the quality per dollar was not there before and it is obviously lower now with the price per lb increase. ... show more
