I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to write one for this. My cat Barry is a big guy and has some seriously smelly poo. He stinks up the entire house every time he poops. I would always be so worried not only about guests being subjected to the foul smell, but also worried about my poor kitty! Not only did it smell, it would be extremely loose sometimes and would have blood at times. The vet said to try grain free foods so I did, along with sensitive tummy foods, etc.— nothing helped. After reading reviews, I gave this one a chance and I’m so glad I did. Already in just a couple of weeks, he isn’t stinking up the house and his BMs are totally normal now. I’ve also noticed that he is back to being my sweet boy! It’s like night and day with him. He snuggles with us again and purrs like crazy. I've tried feeding my cat everything available in the retail cat food market and this is the only product he will eat. I'm tempted to pour milk on it and eat it myself. If I do, I'll let you know how I like it or not.

I have 3 cats…. Finding a food that makes them all happy has proven more difficult than I expected. And by “happy” I mean not puking up cat food on the floor. My daughter feeds her sensitive stomach, picky cat this food in the salmon flavor so I figured I’d give it a try. NO VOMITING! I’m happy, cats all love it so they are happy! My cats are indoor overweight cats that Only ate meow mix. I tried many healthier foods but they wouldnt eat or coulnt keep down. I tried proplan savor because a petco lady suggested it. It has helped them lose a little, and they're not hungry all the time and seem calmer and more relaxed, those omegas are helping. Just my opinion. ... show more

I bought four types of food for my shelter cat to try. This is his favorite. I gave him all four and he ranked them by eating them before the others. 😉 He ranked the four (1) Purina Pro Plan SAVOR Adult with Probiotics, Salmon and Rice > (2) Hill’s Science, Adult, Indoor, Chicken > (3) Instinct Original Grain Free Chicken > (4) Halo Wild Salmon and Whitefish. I wanted him to like Halo or Instinct. He’ll eat them, but he loves Purina Probiotics. (That being said he won’t eat wet food at all.) Okay, this isn't the best "pure, nutritious" food out there, but my cats, especially my oldest one, wouldn't eat the "top shelf" stuff. I tried all of them, the no-grain, wholesome goodness stuff, and she wouldn't eat them - absolutely refused. She and her younger sister, and now our adopted stray, have been eating this solely their whole lives. Recently, my 18-year old had a full physical with full blood panels and the vet said she was the healthiest cat he had ever seen at that age. He couldn't believe how old she was. So, I guess the food is "good enough!" I did try to stay with a food that it's first ingredient was protein (Salmon - or salmon-like stuff) and that the only grain is rice. And the price isn't terrible, but the price has continually climbed and the bag continually shrunk over the years. ... show more

I have 3 (now 4, one just eats kitten food) dumpster cats/kittens that just werent holding weight like i wanted them to even though i *thought* i was feeding them decent food. Well the oldest of them has a bad stomach and struggles with food and he was losing a bunch of hair. My youngest 2 are brothers and they were way skinnier than i wanted them to be and they had stopped growing right at a year old. I got worried about them and swapped them to this and oh boy, its like magic. They are all healthy weight, great muscle tone, fur is thick and silky with minimal shedding, less puke piles. I dont mind paying the $40 if its keeping them this healthy. Its amaing the night and day difference i have seen in them. Plus they love the flavor. ... show more

This product is a little cheaper than buying at Petsmart (unless there is a sale of course or a coupon!). There is a ton of information on this product, so I'm not going to any more details about it. You can look online or even google to product to get the nutrition facts. But overall the most important thing to know is that this is a mid-tiered Purina product. Not the best and not the worst out there. Yes, there is grain in the product (not great for your cat!) but it has all the nutritional value that your cat needs. Some cats will thoroughly enjoy this product and others will not. Some will happily eat this and get sick for higher end products like the Buffalo Blue or the Science Diet products. It all depends on your cat's digestive system. I definitely recommend this product for anyone under a budget, but wants something that has some nutritional value for their cat. ... show more
