My vets office sells the Purina Pro Plan (PP), so I figured I’d give this a try. My boy gets hair balls pretty frequently so I wanted to get him on a formula specifically for it. This cat food was recommended online on several sites (can't remember which ones) as a good food to use for a cat with hairballs and vomiting. My cat also had diarrhea. I read online that since he has been doing this for a while, he likely has food sensitivities on top of hair ball problems. I can't 100% say that it was this food that stopped the problems of my fluffy baby, but ever since he has been eating it, he has not once vomited nor had diarrhea again. I do not know why the 9 cats do not like this. I have not tried it, so I cannot comment upon the flavor. The scent is nothing remarkable. I will say that sugar ants gravitate to this food more than the other urinary, expensive brands the cats have tried. Generally, the sugar ants seem to be attracted to the cheaper cat food. (Friskies, store brand, the cheapest stuff that my roommate used before I moved In). I wonder If it is quality related, more sugar or grease in this one than others.
