I bought this for my teething 7# 5 month Portuguese Podengo Pequeno puppy who was on Purina ProPlan Small Breed Puppy Chicken formula. She is very itchy, so I wanted to try a food without chicken (the most common dog allergy) but still with grains/no legumes. I tried a duck and rice formula from a premium brand, but its way to hard for her to eat. Finding a small-breed food is not easy. This kibble is a mixture of small triangular kibble about the same size and texture as the puppy chow, and irregular tender jerky bits. She really likes the beef flavor, its easy to use this as training kibble, and she can easily eat it. The photo attached if this food on the left, her previous puppy chow on the right (coins) and the two balls of the too-big/hard duck kibble on the far right. The jerky bits can be larger, but they are soft and don’t give her any trouble. A good diet for a step up from puppy chow. The price is very good, too. It’s a ¼ of the price of F&D ancient Grain Lamb puppy small breed, which would have been my order from Chewy. I also ordered the lamb flavor of this which will arrive today. I think there are only these two flavors. I appreciate that Amazon offers this smaller bag size. My local pet stores only offer a giant bag. Small pups only eat ½-¾ cup of food per day. We’ll see how her tummy and skin tolerated it, but so far we are both happy with it qua flavor, texture, value and nutrition. I was not offered any incentive to review this product, but rather share this info for the benefit of others with small breed pups who are searching for a decent food.

After searching and searching for this food I finally found it, only to have it seem to be discontinued! This flavor(and size) is the only kind my picky pooch will happily eat every day! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring it back!!

OMG you would not believe what the Amazon driver did today. I was guarding the house while my owner was away and magically my wish came true. A guy brought me lots of food. I always thought this only happened in movies but it happened to me, a spoiled dog like me. I should have gotten the drivers name because he could have been my best friend. Oh well

I tried Wrigley on several foods before we gave him Purina One Smart Blend Small Bites. He has a good appetite but he didn’t like the size of all the other kibbles. Everything was just too big for him. As soon as we gave him the small bites, he ate every bite with no problems at all. Wrigley loves the tender morsels and if I had any suggestion regarding this food, it would be to add more of them. Also, it seems that they end up in the top of the bag and by the time you get to the last 1/3 of the bag there are very servings that have no tender morsels at all. It would also be nice if this food came in other flavors. Wrigley gets bored eating beef every single meal. A chicken, lamb or salmon would be a wonderful addition to this line. Purina One Smart Blend Small Bites is a good value and in today’s world, that means a lot!

My little dog Atlas absolutely love this food. It’s very difficult to find the beef and rice in stores, especially the small bites size. It also helps me to know that Purina formulated its food to meet all the needs of a dog without worrying about them having heart issues at a later date. Purina employs vet nutritionists to make sure our babies get the best. And wow! The prices is so affordable. Atlas loves all Purina One products but I do believe “Beef” is his favorite! I will be back to order more!

This is the one kibble based dry dog food that my Westie seems to eat regularly. The price was better pre-Biden and was readily available, but not so much now. I do recommend it as a better than average dry dog food for your dog.
