We have tried other premium brands but for the past six we have stuck with grain free PureVita. It is pricey compared to other brands but the list of ingredients say that it is justified. Our 27# little guy will soon be 10 years old and still romps on his walks like puppy. The vet says he is very healthy. My older dog developed food allergies and was allergic to so many traditional dog food ingredients. Including Chicken and Rice. This was one of the only truly limited ingredient foods he was not allergic too. I wondered if he would like the taste and if he would stop loosing wait and if his hair would start growing again. I was amazed. All of my 3 dogs love the taste. His hair is long and silky again and his weight is starting to improve. I would recommend this food to anyone whether their dog has allergies or not. The price is also not bad compared to other foods. Especially when I have 2 large and 1 medium dog to feed. The only supplement I give my older dogs is a joint supplement, because it does not contain adequate joint support for senior large dogs. ... show more

My dog loves this food. It is mild on his stomach due to lack of grain and single protein ingredient. And his BMs are always solid and regular. What more could u ask for? ;o)
