I bought these because I have a reclining couch with a matching Recliner and it matched the cover I bought for that as well. First off the instructions are severely lacking there is nothing that tells you exactly how or where the white elastics go to keep the covers from sliding around and therefore virtually useless. The images used do not help in the slightest. If you have a toddler that bounces around the sofa, like I do you're gonna have a REALLY hard time with this. The only positive is that they cover most of the couch and that they're nice and soft but I have my doubts as to the cover's waterproof capabilities... All and all I'm sure it will at least protect it from food which is part of the battle... but not remotely satisfied with it. At least it's.... something.... I guess EDIT: After Sitting and thinking for a while about how those elastics may work I did work it out for myself. I have never owned a sofa that reclines so when I thought about it I played around with the different ways the elastics could go and naturally figured it out. I'm not sure if all reclining sofas are built the same way but my sofa is a three seater that you can take apart and place it together. Because of this, the back of each seat has a flap that velcros to the bottom of the back so you can see what you're doing to put the pieces together. The white elastics are supposed to be fitted between each seat and then secured with the buckle around the back of the seat (You DO NOT have to take it apart to do this...) Just feed it through where the cushion of the seat meets the back and go behind the couch and feed it the rest of the way. The instructions mention this but not go in great detail and for someone like me who tends to take the literal approach to things I didn't think at all that it meant around the back of the couch. You then undo the velcro backing and clip the elastics together using the buckle and then place the velcro backing over it to protect it as well and hide the white elastic. You don't have to necessarily do the velcro bit but Its what I did. The cover works much better now but my only complaint is that the top where it flips over the head rest doesn't stay put and my kid just manages to pull it down back on to the seat overtime. Which is a little annoying as there are a few alterations that could keep this from happening like a zipper or set of buttons to secure back onto the strap used to go around the head rest. I also got to try out the water resistance and its pretty great. my daughter dropped an ice cube on the sofa after finishing her drink and taking her lid off of it. I didn't find the ice as she ended up sitting on it and when I moved her to clean up I found it. The cover was wet but the couch wasn't and I didn't have to scrub up. About a half hour later the cover was also pretty much dry. If you have big spills it probably wont fair as well but for small liquid spills and potential diaper leaks that happen if you have small children it will protect your couch or at least keep the spill minimal for an easier clean up which is what I was looking for. Much better experience after figuring out how the white elastics work but the instructions should be amended because that small detail would have made installation quicker and less frustrating. At least add a more detailed photo if not another line of text. Even my husband said that it is incredibly vague when I asked how he would interpret that and he's training as a carpenter and welder and stuff like that comes naturally to him with limited instruction.

If you have reclining sofa/loveseats that you want to protect from wear/pets, I'm sure you also realize what a pain in the rear it is to find anything that works well. Blankets slip off instantly, and regular covers don't work with motion furniture. This is the best option I've found so far. It's not perfect, but it does the job. We have a 3 seat couch, leather, 2 reclining ends and center seat flips down into a console. This cover allows you to have each seat covered separately, and let you fold down the middle. It's 3 pieces. Each side covers one arm rest, the back, and the footrest with a wide fabric tab to tuck in between the end seat cushion and the middle seat. The middle is same, but just has the two tabs to tuck in on each side of the cushion. Elastics wrap under the footrests and the top back to secure top and bottom. The headrest piece is long enough to flip over the top and tuck under the elastic in back. Along the back edges of each seat cover, there are smaller elastic pieces you can feed through to the back of the sofa (behind where your rear is when seated) and can also attach those behind each seat. I haven't felt the need to use those but they're there. The top and bottom elastics are covered in the same fabric. It gives good coverage. The material is soft and doesn't itch. We first got one with the waterproof backing and it crinkled and felt awful so got the regular version. The thickness is of a light blanket. It can be washed, and will protect from stains, but is not waterproof. If you have pets that have actual urinary issues, it will soak through. You will have to readjust it, tuck it back in and flip the top back over. There's no getting around it. However, overall, it's been the best option I've found that actually covers the furniture, looks okay, and I can use the center console. So, yes, if you're looking for an inoffensive, functional, less frequent having to mess with cover for your reclining couch, try this. Cost is decent, too, so getting a spare or replacing won't be painful.

I like the feel of the fabric, and color. Fits the couch well and would stay in place if I didn’t have enormous, rowdy dogs. Do not recommend this cover if you have large dogs that love to get rough on the couch. The cover is half off half of the time and it’s frustrating having to keep fixing it so it doesn’t look a mess. Not the fault of the seller. Just not the cover for large, active dogs.

I really like the waterproof aspect of these covers. They do not collect shedding fur which is great too. The only aspect I don’t love is that the middle cover has a band at the bottom and can not wrap around the bottom because it doesn’t recline and there isn’t anything to wrap around. Otherwise these are great.

If the 3 parts were all sewn together I would like it better. It’s practical but the tops won’t stay on the upper couch part I’m trying to cover. As soon as I sit on it they come down so it’s not actually covering the couch. Something needs to be altered or added to it so that it stays up…maybe Velcro to hold it there or a strap sewn on that would hold the top up. I think the 3 pieces that cover my 3 couch sections would also help the top to stay up better and it would stay put better if they were sewn together side by side.
