I bought 2 of the Puredown comforters. The "medium weight" with baffles was amazing. The baffle boxes or whatever they are called were constructed so well. It was so well made. But it was way too warm for me even in upstate NY in a cool bedroom. I am cold natured, too -- always want to be warmer. So, I got the lightweight one. No baffles but fully sewn so the feathers don't shift around. It's still hot! As in "some nights I wake up sweating" hot. So I stick my feet out of the bottom. I got F/Q for both but the lightweight one is definitely smaller and doesn't fill my Q size duvet cover. Overall I'm very very happy with this blanket especially for the price.

Beautiful comforter ! I absolutely love it. No feathers poke thru & it retains its loft well. Despite being vacuumed sealed & flat as a pancake upon arrival, I shook it out & it fluffed right up. Has a nice weight & very clean down smell ( not like cheap ones that smell like a dirty barn).Nice quality, soft cotton cover with excellent piping/stitching. looked at a lot of comforters & am very happy with this purchase, I wish I could get this exact same comforter in a little lighter weight so I could use it all year. As it is now, it's perfect for me anyway. I just sleep under it in colder weather & on top of it when it's warmer. Absolutely worth every penny !

Overall, this is a nice down comforter. I love the hotel style stripes, the grey piping along the edges, the light weight, the corner ties for a duvet cover, and the lofty, cloud-like feel. But since I’m playing the critic, here are my complaints: 1) I’ve been waking up hot a lot more often since getting this. It would probably be perfect for cooler weather, but my house never gets colder than 73 degrees, because I live in south Florida. Some nights, I sleep perfectly with this comforter; other nights, I wake up feeling very hot and have to strip off clothes. I think I just have to remember not to use any other blankets or sheets on the bed. If you use JUST this comforter as a top layer, it should be fine. And if you’re in a colder climate, or if it’s winter where you are, then you’ll be fine. 2) The down smells HORRIBLE when it is washed. It didn’t arrive with an odor— it was fine— but the first time I washed it (yesterday), the smell made me want to throw up. It permeated throughout the whole laundry room and the overpowering odor of wet down was disgusting. I knew that smell was a potential issue with down, but my husband insisted on getting a down comforter. Next time, I’m getting a down alternative like silk fill, Comforel, or a Buffy, which is at least eco-conscious. I’m just hoping that the smell will dissipate after we let it air out for a couple more days. I guess I’ll have to air it out in the sun in the meantime. 3) As a follow-up to #2, I’m disappointed that the tag says “dry clean only.” I didn’t realize this when I bought it. I thought you could wash down comforters! That was the main reason that I got this instead of a silk-filled comforter. I thought that the long-term maintenance would be easier with this one. Taking a king size comforter to the dry cleaner is expensive and a pain in the butt, and I’m not doing it. 4) I also didn’t realize that this was made in China. That means that the “responsible down standard” label means nothing, because China doesn’t have the same standards that the U.S. does for animal cruelty. Disappointing for those of who care about making ethical purchases. It’s like buying eggs or meat that are falsely labeled “free range.” 5) It stains easily. I haven’t gotten a duvet cover for it yet, and my pink lip gloss has already left marks on it that wouldn’t even come out in the wash. This could’ve been prevented with a duvet cover though, so that’s my fault. and 6) It could be puffier. It does feel lofty (like airy), but it can also get pretty flat. I was hoping for more puffiness, because I’ve seen pictures of ULTRA puffy down comforters that look like a dream. This might be an unrealistic expectation, since I also want one that’s not going to make me hot, and therefore can’t be stuffed to the max with fill...but a girl can dream. Despite these drawbacks, it’s still a pretty good down comforter, and I’m still happy with this purchase — as long as the smell of wet birds goes away.

This is a beautiful comforter. It is well made, light weight and will keep you warm. It is replacement for one I have had for several years but a much better one. It fits my California King bed exactly, drapes over each side which is not always true with the Ca.K. I bought a nice duvet on Amazon to protect the nice white comforter. I would think this comforted should be used in the spring and summer. I live in San Diego, So.Ca. And would not be enough for the 3 winter months we have. I do turn my heater off at night. This is an excellent purchase, I highly suggest if you need a nice light weight comforter you will not go wrong with this one.

When buying a comforter online, I was really worried about it not being as full and comfortable as I was looking for, but this comforter really is year-round warmth, full, soft, and overall wonderful! I'm super happy with my purchase. **It does have a slight chemical smell, but I really only notice it if I'm directly sniffing the comforter, and even then it's very faint. I don't know if other reviews have brought this up, but if they have, don't worry about it! It's not very noticeable at all.

perfect... Light weight, but warm. I run hot when I sleep but I haven't been overwhelmed by this comforter yet. My wife is always cold, and she's very comfortable in this... We bought a nice duvet to use with it, and they pair beautifully together. The 4 tie loops are nice, one in each corner. I kind of wish there were 8 total, 4 more centered on the sides... I might stitch a few more on, but otherwise it's perfect. No feather explosions, the chambers are nicely spaced and the feathers aren't bunching into one corner... Very happy so far!

I never write reviews, but I had to for this down comforter. It is absolutely perfect and the price cannot be beat. I did a lot of research and finally decided on purchasing this down. I live at the beach in California so the temperature is always moderate - this down will be perfect for us in winter and in summer. It is so light and fluffy, yet perfectly warm and so incredibly cozy. Will buy this brand for years to come!
