I got the salted caramel flavor. Thought it was pretty darn tasty for a protein bar. Pleasantly chewy. It does contain some alcohol sugars and carbs, but it also has 19 GRAMS of PROTEIN! These bars taste amazing, and the Chocolate Salted Caramel is my personal favorite. The texture and flavor are both amazing, and I have virtually no complaints. I like how transparent the company is with nutrition facts, and how affordable they are per ounce. I wish they allowed for recurring deliveries on these and the mint bars, though.

These are fantastic! They taste like a candy bar but with much higher protein and way less sugar. The only downside is that sometimes they arrive with the caramel stuck to the wrappers.

These are incredible protein bars. It does taste just like having a candy bar. The caramel was the perfect texture and it definitely satisfies sweet tooth cravings. My only complaint is that the bars melted to the packaging during transit so they’re a little hard to open and the caramel gets stuck. Other than that, they’re perfect.

I have tried just about every Pure Protein flavor available and this is the best so far. One complaint is the bars sometimes are shrinking. A quick weigh in on a scale will prove that they arent what is stated on the package. They also don’t hold up well to heat. If they aren’t shipped properly they will be a big gooey mess inside the wrapper and half the bar gets thrown away.

Updated after finishing the box - ugrade to 3 stars: The flavor and intense sweetness isn't terrible. After eating a couple of them, I got used to it. They're passable, especially for the somewhat affordable price point. I'll buy them again occasionally. Original 2 star review: I do have a sweet tooth. But when I buy a "lower sugar/lower carb" item, I do expect it to be LESS sweet. Initially, the salted caramel flavor comes across. But it's way sweeter than normal salted caramel candy, and then the weird chemical taste of the artificial (synthesized "natural" wood-sugar-alcohols & chemical) sweeteners hit, and it makes me feel sick. Like late halloween night on the couple of childhood occasions I snuck an extra couple of handfuls out of my trick or treat bag into my pockets kind of feeling just wholly unwell. I've bought protein bars from this brand before and they were perfectly fine for the price point. But in this case I would've felt less disappointed in my financial decision if I'd just taken a Jackson out of my wallet and burned it to ash. I know not everyone has the digestive and autoimmune and cardiovascular and allergy problems that sugars synthesized from the waste of the lumber industry cause for 20%-40% of people in the US. And I should've not trusted the brand based on past experiences and scrutinized the ingredients in the listing more closely. For those reasons, I'm giving this 2 stars rather than only 1.
