It's very sturdy, lightweight, easy to put together as long as you've got some common sense. No tools required. I think it stands taller than 5ft and the plastic part fits perfectly over it with strings at the bottom to hold it in place. The shelves are thin metal and bendable so might need to replace though depending on plant weight but overall it seems like a great deal especially if you can get it before prices jump. The shelves are wide and nicely spaced for both small and large plants. I have it on carpet and it stands very well on its own but I'd caution to lean it against a wall just because a simple bump could tip it over. ... show more

So, the first time I ordered this greenhouse, 2 of the long bars were missing and thus, missing middle support bars for 2 shelves. The shelves could barely hold any weight without bending down. But luckily they quickly shipped me a new one and I returned the old one. Now for the price (I got it when it cost $25 for the 4 Tier one) it's great, 5 stars! I can fit my rectangular planter boxes that are 29 inches long, even though the shelves themselves are only 27 in long. My herbs have survived Seattle's cold rain and windstorms so far because of this greenhouse. As long as you have heavy plants or something on the bottom shelf, you shouldn't have to worry about it falling over, even in heavy wind. Super easy to put together, the pieces just pop in place, but can be harder to take apart, though it's definitely doable if you plan to store the greenhouse after a season. CONS: I wouldn't reccomend for taller plants. I had to take a shelf out to be able to fit my larger parsley plant. The shelves themselves are a little flimsy and don't secure down to the support bars. But if you ziptie them down or have heavier plants, you should be fine. The shelves aren't adjustable. Some part are plastic so ok when I tried taking it apart for the first time, the plastic cracked, so just be gentle when taking it apart. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you are looking to buy a greenhouse in the $30 price range. I was hesitant at first, but I am really happy with my purchase. ... show more

I have not used this greenhouse outside and have no plans to do so. It is very easy to put together and once assembled holds several plants. The wire shelves are a little flimsy so I used cable ties to make sure one shelf of plants doesn't flatten another. The plastic cover is thick and durable, even when my cat tried to leap on top of it. I'm not sure how it would fare outside. Plants would be protected from too much cold and rain but a stiff breeze might knock it all down. Overall, a good buy but don't expect too much from its construction. ... show more

I bought this for a home pottery studio to store my pieces while I am working on them so they do not dry out. It was really easy to put together, just push the poles in and assemble. The only challenge I had was on the shelves, which is why it got 4 instead of 5 stars on easy to assemble. They were kind of wobbly and not straight being a mesh construction. I crimped one side with my hand and placed on the one horizontal pole and then took a needle nose players to crimp the other side so it fit snuggly on the opposite horizontal pole. I did this because I need the shelf to be stable for the pottery I am building. Maybe if you are using as designed for a green house this would not be so important and would probably level out naturally with use. I will update once I start using. ... show more

The plastic cover came out of the box ripped at the seam by the zipper before I even unzipped it, so clearly a manufacturing issue. I reached out to the company - as Amazon said to do - and they sent me back to Amazon with a glib "not our problem". Now I have to drive an hour to the UPS store to return this piece of crap and can't start my seedlings. Zero stars for the product and the company. ... show more

Assembly was simple. Shelves are very very flimsy and the advice of other customers to tie them down really helped. One of the plastic brackets broke while I was assembling it, but it is still usable. One of the zippers was junk from the start. Don't think this cover will last more than one season. On the plus side, I was able to start tons of seeds before our last frosty night, and it is keeping my indoor started tomatoes and cucumbers warm enough to survive the move outside so far. Keeps my seedlings warm and moist, and I think that is worth the $30 I spent. It's also the perfect size for my small (rented) backyard. Would love to get a nicer greenhouse some day, but it's not in the cards right now, so this shelf will do fine. ... show more

Serves its purpose well, and good value at $29 open box price. Easy to assemble with a dab of lithium grease on metal ends that slide into plastic. Vegetable oil would also probably aid assembly, but disassembly would be easier with lithium grease. Sturdy once assembled. I poked 2 small holes through cover to thread twine through fabric and around frame to tie to tree and prevent wind from blowing it over. Fabric and zippers have not been problematic and seem like good quality. stays warm kept in partial shade during 40 degree (Fahrenheit) nights. ... show more
