  • Affordable Thermal
Color: XM30
Honestly I can't believe I can afford this now. Thermal scopes have always been in the $10,000+ range, and now this is 1/4th of the cost. It's still quite an investment, but it seems to be pretty good quality, and full of features. There are 2 cons. 1. It's sort of heavy. Not dramatically heavier than most regular scopes, but with all the electronics it is going to weigh you down a little more. 2. The rangefinder isn't great. You have to select it, and spin the turret to match the size of the animal, and refer to a size chart on the side. It takes forever to spin if your target is closer than 800 yards. I'm a little upset that so many of these expensive thermal scopes don't have a laser range finder. Those are the only complaints I have, and they aren't even that bad. It's easy to use, easy to sight in, and easy to find those hogs before they can even smell me. I can only hope they continue to improve the technology, and reduce the price further. I believe this is THE BEST upgrade for any hunter, or self defense enthusiast. ... show more

  • Amazing value for money and better than the military stuff I used just a decade ago.
Color: XG50
While certainly a pricey item, you simply cannot get better than this thermal scope in todays market for this price point. The clarity/image quality, ease of adjustment, battery life, form factor, light weight, and flexibility to night and day operations is on par or above the professional level military kit and 1/10th the cost. ... show more

  • Freaking Cool
Color: XP50
There are plenty of options out there and it can be stressful figuring out what to pick. I like this scope since it looks like a normal scope and won't draw too much attention to it. Second, it can record video and broadcast it via wifi to a smartphone or tablet. This is great since others can see what the scope sees. If done right, a group of people could benefit from one sight. There isn't a laser range finder but you can use a tool to determine the distance by measuring objects. If you are planning on using this for fast moving targets (coyote) and need to know the exact distance in real time you might want the Trail. I like this scope and look forward to playing with it more. ... show more

  • Good scope with some minor issues.
Color: XP50
The media could not be loaded. I tried/had the XM38 (magnification to high) and the XP38 (magnification to low) but the XP50 hit the sweet spot. Picture is great and PIP is awesome. I like the streaming app and scope options. Battery life could be better, so buy extras and problem solved. I find controls difficult or clumsy but workable. Instructions including online manual suck. Do it’s try and error. The WiFi to phone is very slow for transfers and sound still not working on Apple products and I use MacBook and I phone. Needs Bluetooth. Could not get Mac to sink with cable. Lens cap and seal came off when shooting. That’s all the bad, small stuff. Overall scope is awesome. I give it a buy. Don’t settle for lesser model just to regret and get this one anyway. ... show more

  • Will not hold Zero!
Color: XP50
Like my Trail XP50, the Thermion XP50 will not hold a Zero. Sight it in only to find later that it move 4"-12".
