  • Perfect for ENTIRE house and home A/C
I've been doing my research for almost 3 months now, and finally decided to pull the trigger on this one. My neighbor got a different brand, but he only needed a 30 amp hookup because he did not think it would power the air conditioner. Well, now he is buying this exact same one. The electrician that did my 50 amp box and breaker was actually impressed also because he installs whole home generators. When I told him the price of this, he started looking it up on amazon. This thing starts super easy, and Powers my entire house of 2600 square feet and my air conditioner. I do have a new air conditioner, but it is a big AC unit. We also have LEDs throughout the house, a stand-up freezer, a refrigerator freezer, and a small refrigerator outside. We also have the normal tvs, microwaves, and the likes. This was able to power my whole house with the lights all on, watching tv, air conditioner rolling, and this unit did not even pick up. I wanted to test it out, and it ran 16 hours before I even thought about putting in a fuel in it. I will say this, you do need a 50 amp hookup, and don't be shell shocked when you see the cost of the cable. Also, you really should break it in. I ran oil in it for an hour, during the oil, and you can obviously see metal, which is absolutely normal. I did that three times, and on the third time, there was absolutely no metal. I ran it with the full load for an entire day, and when I drained the oil just to check it, the oil looked like it was brand new. I have not run it on propane yet, because that is just a backup. It is loud, but it's actually quieter than my husky 5000 watt that I am replacing. Very glad that I got this one, and I'm sure it will last a very long time. I think the best part is it has a metal tank on the top and a fuel gauge. It was very easy to put together, and I put it together in about 15 minutes by myself and wield it around the back. Very shocked that it only took about a week and a half to get here, and they dropped it right in front of my house. If you want to be prepared for Hurricane season, this one will do the trick and then some. ... show more

  • Good generator
First one that was shipped arrived dead on arrival and never started. Company set out another one. There was one problem when unit arrived not working they would not send a replacment right away which really sucked as a hurrican was off the coast and a generator is essential for my wife to continue working during power outages. I do understand that there are a lot of scammers out there. Just wish they could have found a way to get my replacment sooner ... show more

  • Once and done
The chainsaw won't start or turn over. I've checked everything possible without voiding the warranty. I've drained the carburetor and replaced the spark plug, but nothing has worked. It's only been used for two hours during the break-in period and 15-minute runs every other week. I'm extremely frustrated, especially considering I spent $1,000 on it. Update. Put on a warranty claim. And no phone call back. So going have to wait for the protection plan. But I did get it started. But by only flooding the unit. Just hit the e-start for over a minute. Didn't start up start. But stayed on. Going have to turn it on weekly to keep it running right. Don't have faith it'll last long. 28DEC25 - Update. Same last winter of 2024. Tried to fire it up it didn't want to start. Have starting fluid with this generator just in case. My location is very cold. Now it fires up every time when using the fluid. So I'm raising it to 4 starsso far. Only have 9 running hours from break in last year and one power outage of 8 hours with a 8 gallon gasoline tank. It still had half a tank for my watt pull of avg 2,000-5000. And jumps to 8-10k when either sum pump or well kicks on and water heater. Yes, it powers it all. Not sure about the power wave. But normally on outages even with a generator this powerful. I try to limit the sensitive electronics and pull out some bored games with the family. Future plan is to get a jackery 5000 plus to plug into the house. And this powers my battery ... show more

  • 5 stars for generator zero stars for shipping
First off this is a great generator. Easy to set up. I bought it for the propane option only and it works great. A few notes on set up. It takes a little over 1 1/2 qts oil to fill the sump. Filling it is quite easy with the supplied funnel and hose. You will need a 10mm wrench. The bolts for the handles requires a 10mm wrench to hold the bolt in place while tightening up. Additionally, the battery posts are 10mm as well. I founds that it is easier to remove the battery to install the leads for it as it is a tight fit. I started the generator on propane and it fired right up and ran very smooth. As for the shipping, I was given a delivery date of 5 days after purchase. However after two weeks I contacted the delivery company to find out that the paperwork was shipped but the generator was still sitting on the dock at the seller. Another two weeks to receive the generator making it almost a month in transit with no contact from the seller as to why. The shipper (RL Carriers) was very good in delivering right into the garage when it finally arrived. All in all if you can wait for the delivery it is well worth it. ... show more

  • Very solid geny
Really like this geny, it runs very well and actually fairly quiet and I've done similar installs with the same size genys of westinghouse, duromax, durostar, and wen genys. All the bigger size around 12kw to 13kw. These things run an entire house as does this pulsar from fridge freezer well pump furnace AC lights TV. Everything. Put the entire load on this house and it barely made a hiccup. I utilized a 10 switch manual transfer switch kit from reliance and tapped into the existing LP of the house with a half inch flex hose. With this pulsar I really like the plainness of it. Simple electric start, manual choke which isn't needed with LP or natural gas. Actually able to pull start it and the outside air temp was 40F. No extra idle control or fancy switches that can and will break. Just a very simple and easy geny to run and keep running. Will update if anything else occurs. ... show more
