  • Easy to assemble, easy movability, started first try.
Model name: Heavy Duty Portable Dual Fuel Gener...
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this in case our power goes out, living in the country in Arkansas, and after having someone wreck into our power line and being without power for almost 8 hours in the heat of summer, and the unpredictable storms we get, I decided to have a failsafe. It assembled really easy! The handles make it SUPER EASY to move around. Started up on first try, ran great (haven’t powered anything yet, it’s for emergencies) as for the noise level, it’s quieter than most of the generators I’ve heard before. Would definitely buy again! ... show more

  • Perfect for ENTIRE house and home A/C
Model name: G12KBN-SG
I've been doing my research for almost 3 months now, and finally decided to pull the trigger on this one. My neighbor got a different brand, but he only needed a 30 amp hookup because he did not think it would power the air conditioner. Well, now he is buying this exact same one. The electrician that did my 50 amp box and breaker was actually impressed also because he installs whole home generators. When I told him the price of this, he started looking it up on amazon. This thing starts super easy, and Powers my entire house of 2600 square feet and my air conditioner. I do have a new air conditioner, but it is a big AC unit. We also have LEDs throughout the house, a stand-up freezer, a refrigerator freezer, and a small refrigerator outside. We also have the normal tvs, microwaves, and the likes. This was able to power my whole house with the lights all on, watching tv, air conditioner rolling, and this unit did not even pick up. I wanted to test it out, and it ran 16 hours before I even thought about putting in a fuel in it. I will say this, you do need a 50 amp hookup, and don't be shell shocked when you see the cost of the cable. Also, you really should break it in. I ran oil in it for an hour, during the oil, and you can obviously see metal, which is absolutely normal. I did that three times, and on the third time, there was absolutely no metal. I ran it with the full load for an entire day, and when I drained the oil just to check it, the oil looked like it was brand new. I have not run it on propane yet, because that is just a backup. It is loud, but it's actually quieter than my husky 5000 watt that I am replacing. Very glad that I got this one, and I'm sure it will last a very long time. I think the best part is it has a metal tank on the top and a fuel gauge. It was very easy to put together, and I put it together in about 15 minutes by myself and wield it around the back. Very shocked that it only took about a week and a half to get here, and they dropped it right in front of my house. If you want to be prepared for Hurricane season, this one will do the trick and then some. ... show more

  • Worked right out of the box
Model name: Heavy Duty Portable Dual Fuel Gener...
This is a fairly heavy generator and it could have been easier to assemble the wheels with another person, which I did not have. After completing the assembly I added the oil, it does not come with oil, put some gasoline in it and connected the battery. It fired up on the 2nd attempt. I ran it until the gas tank was empty. My reason for this purchase is for standby power during an outage. I’m having an electrician install a transfer switch. I’ll provide an update once we use it for its intended purpose. ... show more

  • Fires right up
Model name: Heavy Duty Portable Dual Fuel Gener...
Super easy to “set up” just add oil and gas! I was able to power my entire home with this when the power went out for a few hours. My wife was 37 weeks pregnant and was skeptical of my purchase but when the whole street was black and our toddler was going crazy I was able to fire this up and we had the heat cranking, Netflix, and dinner cooking shortly after! I recommend this it runs everything from my house to welding machines never an issue. 8 gallon gas tank and propane option is great in a pinch! Honestly all generators are loud but when you don’t have power…who cares; It is on the lower end of noise levels compared to other generators. ... show more

  • So Far So Good!
Model name: Heavy Duty Portable Dual Fuel Gener...
We bought the Pulsar G12KBN generator after looking a lot of options and reading a lot of reviews. It took a couple of weeks for the product to arrive as there was a lot of bad winter storms across the country. As it was, it took us longer to schedule the electrician and to prepare the installation site near our power pole. Luckily we did not lose power during the delay. We were able to assemble the generator (easy!) and maneuver the generator into our mini-shed (not-so- easy as the generator is heavy!). The generator started without much trouble using the electric starter. We also used the pull cord starter to make sure that worked. The electrician came the next day and hooked up our transfer switch and we were able to switch the power over as expected. The 9500 watts should allow us to run our sewer pump, fridge and of most of our appliances and lights, etc but not our electric furnace. So far so good! Now that we are have spent the money and are ready for power outages we probably won't need it! ... show more
