  • Great 9500 Watt Tri-fuel generator!
Style: 9500W Tri Fuel + CO Alarm + Remote Start
Pulsar 9500 watt Tri-fuel generator: Excellent generator! Tri-fuel is very handy. It came with cable ends for a 3-prong 120v 20amp, 4-prong 120/240v 30amp, and a 120/240v 50amp cable! Included the first pint of oil and the necessary tools to get it started. It also included a 1/2” gas line for propane (with regulator) and an adapter for Natural Gas with a quick connect (and a 3/8” to 1/2” adapter). The internal battery for the auto-start was charged and worked on the first try. It did NOT include a charging cord for this starter battery (which is disclosed in the listing) but the generator manual says running the generator should charge this internal battery so that should take care of itself during the 5 hour break-in period if you can start it with the rip cord the first time. The 9500 watt model is a heavy machine. It comes with wheels and a handle which makes wheeling it manageable for one but lifting this into a trunk solo is probably not possible. Fairly quiet in terms of generators! The eco mode noticeably modulates to load demand well. Many functional ports! ... show more

  • Battery Charge Port Useless?
Style: 9500W Tri Fuel + CO Alarm + Remote Start
I’ve had this generator for about a week now and everything went well through the five hour break in period. The only snag I’ve run into is regarding the battery charge port. Pulsar does not provide a charger, and I’ve found that the only way to get this battery charging from my Battery Tender is to open the side panel, disconnect the battery from its quick connect point ( the same one that is disconnected during shipping ) and plug the battery tender in directly to the battery there. This does also require the use of a reverse polarity adapter. I contacted Pulsar support asking for the recommended charger to allow charging via the front charge port, and they suggested a 15V/1A DC wall wart. I’m not sure how I feel about this suggestion for use as a charger. In fact, the item they linked me to said explicitly that it was a power supply and not a battery charger, and not to use it to directly charge batteries. All that said, the battery is lithium ion and I expect it will hold a charge pretty well. I’ll plan to check on it once every couple months when during routine startups of the generator, and top of the charge as needed. Ultimately, not a big deal, and happy with the purchase, but I wanted to make a note of it here for the next guy to know what did and didn’t work for me. Also note that the 24’ natural gas hose kit is not included with this model, and is sold separately for $60. For anyone like myself intending to run two of these in parallel, I suggest picking up two 90 degree 3/8" female swivel flare x 3/8" male flare fittings so that your gas line runs toward the front of the unit instead of to the side. Otherwise, you won’t be able to position the generators side by side. ... show more

  • Pulsar 9500 Watt not super quiet.
Style: 9500W Tri Fuel + CO Alarm + Remote Start
Pulsar 9500 Watt Tri Fuel Portable Inverter Generator, Remote Electric Is not super quiet and don’t buy it on that account like we did. This item can not be returned and I received a $700 noise violation ticket. Now it is quieter than most but not super quiet. Everything else is like it’s said and it is a nice unit. But we bought it cause it’s super quiet and it’s not. ... show more
