For it being particleboard, the black laminate is really nice and looks very contemporary. Indistinguishable from stained real wood. Took me, by myself, about 2 hours to assemble. You assemble the stand first and then the fireplace second. Took me longer bc I'm very precise in doing it right the first time. I don't do rush hack jobs. After assembly, the stand is much sturdier than I expected. It's SOLID, it's sound. I'm 220lbs and I'd have no issue sitting on this thing (not recommended btw) but saying this bc it feels very solid. LED fireplace was easy to put into place if you slow down and follow instructions to a T. I chose to drill holes into the wood mounting brackets (unseen part of the stand meant to hold fireplace in place) and tap in plastic screw anchors. I could have just screwed the screws in but took the extra effort to insert screw anchors (provided) for solid assembly. Putting glass face on is a very tight fit but after tapping it in the whole unit is a perfect tight fit into the stand. I read a couple of review where it didn't fit and/or they had to custom mod something. Bonk.... it's a tight fit and you have to work with it to get it to drop in just right. I fussed for like 10 minutes. Just enough space at like 1mm to get it to drop in place. Highly highly recommend laying the stand FACE UP to do this procedure. LED choices on color to illuminate rocks and the flames are two separate choices on the remote. A ton of color combos to choice from. A guess is like 15 color choices on rock color, 15 flame choices including flames that are multicolored (like orange with bkue tips). Impressive. Enough to chose your favorite Team colors (lol) or not the mood of the room. Realistic.... visitors swear it's REAL flames and ask how I'm not burning up the TV and stand (lol). Overall, it's a great purchase. I had mild expectations going in. Now I'm blown away on the quality. Looks like a $2000 setup that I hired professionals to custom build for me. Probably my best Amazon purchase of 2024

This was simple to assemble did it in about 40 minutes IKEA needs to get ahold of whoever wrote these instructions and take lessons! Pretty sturdy too the 2 things that wasn't so nice is the fireplace insert does NOT fit properly the boards that it screws into are not wide enough to catch the screw threads without splitting them. I drilled them in at an angle which did fine. And the last one is the big holes in the back of the storage are precut and punched out leaving you no option but to have them. But overall a good product.

I've been using this now for several months, throughout the winter. It fits the space perfectly, was easy to assemble and is just a beautiful piece of furniture. I have a 65" tv above it and 2 etagere's on the sides making it look complete. I use the fireplace every day, and when I need a little extra heat, I turn it on and it makes a different. Get lots of compliments. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

The fireplace insert did not fit properly into the actual piece of furniture. My husband (who is a metal fabricator) had to make 2 metal plates at work for the insert to attach to hold it into place, otherwise you cannot tighten the screws into what they have provided for you. Unless you are prepared to modify this yourself, do not buy.

Whoa this tv fireplace cabinet needs More detailed assembly instructions transcribe by an English speaking person. The instructions are to vague and incomplete so no stars for that. The shipping great, packaging great, quality very good but design a big No No. The holes for the wires to pass thru in the back panel are huge and too high. Omg I have to hide them with either books , pics or baskets . You see the holes when assembled from the front. . Very heavy piece. The fireplace was easy to place in the cabinet. Those silver screws talked about in Manuel and from reviews are just for shipping (to keep the glass from moving ). You dont do anything with them once they are remove from insert. The Remote is cheap and again no instructions . Really ! This company needs to make the effort that the customer is provided the exact instructions for the customer to complete the project successfully with unnecessary stress. The actual crystal fireplace is beautiful , quiet and throws very nice heat. Check out the video . I wouldn’t discourage you from buying this bc most furniture from China is basically the same - insufficient instructions. For the price point it’s a good buy.
