Captured me strongly. I burned through the first book, immediately downloaded the second, burned through that one and moved straight to this one and ran right thorough it! Three books in four days! That doesn't happen all that often! This is a compelling story that is strongly building towards something that I have not yet figured out. This is a treat for me as I usually figure things out far to soon. And this is the third book, so the author is doing a good job of playing the long game.     • Love This Fabulous Series!
This book was incredible! This one really drew you into the world of Vampires with Carvi being one of the main players. Let me just say I love Carvi almost as much as I do Grant and Quil. This book has it all! Adventure, action, sex, friends you can count on during the worst of times, a kick ass heroine and there was a lot of chemistry thrown in there to make it just that much more interesting.     • Cut the first third of the book and you have a solid story!
I like this series; however this book annoyed me to NO end. The first third of the book is just icky. Not the most profound statement; but that's how I felt. The lead character, Ryder is working with a bad/good guy whose powers include inducing lust. The first third of the book Ryder keeps saying no and yet ends up being seduced because of the powers. So in addition to no not meaning no, there wasn't a lot added to the story. I kept with it though - good thing because once the author stops focusing on this gross push/pull of wills, the bigger story comes in to play and is far more interesting. I'm interested in seeing where book 4 goes in this series; however if it more like three than it will be my last. ... show more

Ms. Gibbons is a true author mixing CSI, FBI, mystery and a splash of romance to combine for an excellent series. Can not wait to get my hands on the next one!!!

This book might have triggers for some readers. The storyline is interesting. I wanted to read the series straight through, but needed a break after this book. The main character is a young paranormal FBI agent,who works in sexy outfits she describes and is highly sexed. She wants several men, think Gibbs, Bill, and Eric Northman. Dominance, sex, lust, humiliation and varied partners play a major role in this book. It was out of my comfort zone. ... show more

    • Good but perhaps not for the squeamish.
I've read the four books in this series that have been released so far. And while I've loved them, this one had some spots that were...troublesome for me. Fair warning, there's a lot of sex in this one. I don't mind sex in stories, really I don't, but some bits here bothered me. One of the main characters appears to be very much an anti-hero--something I've never been particularly fond of--and that's reflected in the personal interactions. Still, the drama and action make it more than worthwhile. Highly recommended. Just be warned, there is a good bit of sex and it flirts with the boundaries of consensual or not. ... show more
