This charging station appears pretty barebones at first. You simply plug it in to your console, and place your DualSense controllers on top to charge them. But there are a few touches that set this apart a little bit. First, the included cord includes a 90-degree connector for underneath the unit. This helps to relieve any pressure that a normal USB-C connector might experience when plugged in on the underside. While you can technically use any USB-C connector, I'd advise using what the charging station came with. Because it uses the standard connection built into all DualSense controllers, there is no worry about compatibility. Even Sony's premium DualSense Edge works here without issue. Furthermore, you can also use any USB charger or port on another device to charge - I actually have it hooked into my PS4 Pro simply because of how my entertainment center has things lined up. Not a problem! Overall, this is a nice (and cheaper!) alternative to Sony's official DualSense charging station. It may not be as stylish, but if you're ok with a more understated look, this does the exact same thing for less! ... show more

    • It works, but placement is very sensitive and not stable
As others have mentioned, the placement of the controller on the charger is very finicky, it took me several tries to get the charger to line up with the controllers properly. And then they can be easily knocked off because there is nothing to hold them on place, they are just sort of balanced on there... So while it technically works, I think this product needs some improvement in the design in order to be more intuitive and stable ... show more

This charging station works well. It is nice to charge two controllers at the same time. We found that it worked better when we used the cable that came with the charging station than with the cable that came with the PS5 itself.

    • Controllers don't secure to the charger.
Charges the controllers well. My kids have difficulty putting them on the charger though. There is no mechanical means to ensure proper placement. You must rely on the lights.

I don't own a PS5 but I have two separate gaming PCs that I have PS5 controllers for when I have friends over, and I've been looking online for a while now for controller charging docks. There are a lot of solutions out there I've seen, but I pulled the trigger on this one and I think this is the best. It's the smallest of the options out there, and doesn't take up any more room than it needs to. It also is powered by USB-C so I don't have to have it near the wall outlet I can have it charged by my living room TV or my PC. Also, the cable it comes with has a 90-degree end which makes it a lot easier to work with and a much more elegant solution than a standard off-the-shelf USB-C PD cable. Two Thumbs Up! ... show more
