I had previously tried an Allora trumpet/flügel wheelie, which I returned (see my separate review on that item). As a replacement, I ordered this item. As soon as I received this item and opened it, I could see right away that it is an excellent product, well-made and perfect for my purposes. I have a standard Bb trumpet and an Olds flügel. They both fit perfectly in the case without any problem. The case also has slots for 4 mouthpieces, which I find very convenient. And there's extra room inside for music or notes, as well as an outside pocket. I still have my mutes in a separate bag. This bag is not a wheelie bag, which means a bit more work to carry it, but it is not overly heavy even with the 2 horns in it. The design is well thought-out with quality construction. If you are looking for a good double bag (and tons of jazz players I know lug around two cases for their trumpet and flügel), this bag is a great choice at a very good price. ... show more

Easily fits my Schilke trumpet, but it is a bit tight in some places on my Getzen flugelhorn (primary around the main water key. Other areas is due to the padding needing to contour to the horn). The side pocket hold my music binder, some pencils, a Harmon, practice, and straight mutes. And don't forget the valve oil! Overall, the case is very sturdy and the shoulder strap clasps are strong enough to easily carry the weight of my horns. Excellent cushioning on the shoulder pad! ... show more

Have owned the same case for many years and hundreds of performances. Well made with excellent materials. Convenient and holds both horns securely. Full solid zipper - no cheap zipper or breakable latches. Nice zippered outer compartments holds both my stands, oil, accessories, extra mouthpiece and music. This one was for my nephew, who just got a flugelhorn for Christmas. He loves the case. If there was a downside, it's a little heavy when loaded - but it's outweighed by not carrying two cases and accessories. it also lets you carry two full instrument stands outside the case - not banging into the horns inside. ... show more

This is a big case! Room for 4 standard profile mouthpieces, and the trumpet snuggled into one side. the remaining 3/4 of the case is dedicated to the flugel horn. From the outside, you'd think there would also be room for 4 - 6 assorted mutes - Nope! The instruments inside are well padded and protected, but you'll need to order a separate case for your mutes (and maybe some sort of cart to lug all this stuff around, 5 stars for protection of the instruments, but a minor deduction for how the interior space was utilized. ... show more

No, it's not small. But it has a trumpet and a flugelhorn in there. It's solidly built. My flugel (a Yamaha 731) fits snugly with the mouthpiece installed and my Yamaha C or Bach Bb fits comfortably as well. I don't know much else to ask of such a case; it keeps my horns safe and does so as economically as my research says is possible. Highly recommended. ... show more

    • Very Satisfied with purchase.
My son plays trumpet, cornet, french horn and flugelhorn for 8th grade band. I like the convenience of having 2 instruments in one case. In his instance the only way to incorporate carrying capabilities for his array would be an extra large suitcase so if we can reduce his carry by one, GREAT! The zippered area in front for music seems ample and the case seems well built. Holds both instruments and 4 mouthpieces along with two mutes as long as they fit into the bell. My suggestion before ordering would be to measure both instruments and match to dimensions as they are very specific. Very satisfied! ... show more
