  • It opens flat.
Style: Alto Sax/Clarinet/Flute Combination Case
It is a great case in my opinion. I can fit my Yani alto, artley flute, and buffet clarinet nice and snugly. It came with a pouch like case for the neck and mouthpiece, which works pretty good, but it dose take up just about all the room in the extra compartment. I have to put my reeds and stuff in the outside pocket, which is quite large. Weight wise it feel just about the same as my protec max alto case, maybe slightly heavier. It opens up flat, the cover will not stop halfway like other cases, so it hits the guys chair next to me when I set it up. The shoulder strap clips are on either side of the front opening so when you open it it kinda in the way. It serves it purpose, when you need multiple instruments. If I don't I use my protec max single case, very light weight and streamline. If I get on a plane, I use my guard leather gig bag. Overall I like it. ... show more

  • Protec for the win!!
Style: Alto Sax/Soprano Sax Combination Case
First and foremost I always have loved ProTec products. I needed to travel to Atlanta and needed a case to carry my alto and soprano because I would be crazy to check any instruments on the plane. This came through great!! I would say it is a bit heavy for me being a female but it’s not unbearably heavy. I rest more easy knowing my saxes are protected so I understand the weight. Wheels are great and has plenty of storage space for my sax stand and accessories. One thing I love is perfect space for neck pieces. My previous case I had to store them in a separate pocket because otherwise they would go flying around the case. Overall I give this case a 9/10. Would definitely recommend to any saxophonist that needs both soprano and alto. ... show more

  • soprano sax, alto sax and everything else!
Style: Alto Sax/Soprano Sax Combination Case
I just recent purchased this item, and I am definitely impressed! At first, I was leery of how the soprano would be positioned when the case was on its end (sitting on the floor, or being rolled about)-it put the soprano neck end downward. BUT, the bell of the soprano is cradled in such a manner, that it would cause no more harm to the instrument than holding it upside down by the bell in your hand. Also, I was impressed by the movable supports for the soprano that fasten in with Velcro. The alto fits very snugly-no movement at all. There are places for reeds/and or mouthpieces, alto sax neck slot, spring loaded divided accesory box, and, a large zipper compartment outside the case, which can hold anything from sax stands to clarinet and/or flute cases to books, etc. It even has wheels and a telescoping handle so one can roll it about. A neat and very useful piece of equipment, indeed!!! ... show more

  • Fantastic combo case for saxophone players
Style: Alto Sax/Soprano Sax Combination Case
My high school aged son wanted this case so he could carry his alto and soprano saxes in one case. This is exactly perfect for that purpose and is well made, nice looking, seems pretty sturdy although we haven’t been able to test that out since school was ended soon after we purchased the case and he hasn’t needed to drag it all over the state. He likes the looks and the inside, and I feel like this will work for him through college as well. Very pleased with this, and the price was great as well. ... show more

  • Love this case... Holds my alto and soprano very well...
Style: Alto Sax/Soprano Sax Combination Case
Love this case... Holds my alto and soprano very well... My only gripe is that it's not well balanced... I keep my stands in the front pouch... If I set in on it's side feet, it tips over...

  • Exactly what I needed!
Style: Alto Sax/Soprano Sax Combination Case
Very satisfied! Protec has always made good cases and they've only gotten better with time. I play soprano, alto and tenor at nearly every show so I bought this to consolidate 2 of those cases and make less trips back and forth to the car. This case is a bit heavy even without horns in it, but to be adequately protective and with a sturdy frame with wheels it needs to be, all that to say I don't use the shoulder strap it comes with as that would be a bit much, but the wheels are great so that's not needed. My vintage soprano fits snuggly as does my Cannonbal A5 Alto. Plenty of storage for mouthpieces and accessories. I even carry my wireless mic in the outside storage pocket. I wish they would make another combo case for tenor / soprano and even alto / tenor! ... show more

  • Nice heavy case
Style: Alto Sax/Soprano Sax Combination Case
The case has worked well for me. It needed several things tweaked in the beginning because it knocked my soprano saxophone out of line. So … that was a pretty good size repair bill. It had to be readjusted because the soprano just didn’t fit well in the case. now that we’ve added a few things to the case, it works really well. It has a lot of storage space. It is now a little heavy when everything’s in It but it does adds good protection. ... show more

  • 3-in-1 On-the-Go Convenience!
Style: Alto Sax/Clarinet/Flute Combination Case
I love having flute, clarinet, and alto conveniently together in ONE case! It is also handy that the individual pouches can be pulled out when needed. I would definitely recommend the trolley cart with this case because it is larger and heavier than a normal alto sax case. As a 5'1" petite 58-yr-old woman, the backpack strap option was not practical due to the size and weight of the case. I nearly injured my back testing it out and struggled to get the case off without assistance. The trolley, however, is a WONDERFUL option! A minor opportunity for improvement would be to include a little strip of velcro backing to cover any exposed velcro on the back of the case when the trolley cart is attached. I would also appreciate a little bit wider outside pocket to fit an oversized music folder. My old protec gig case had an expanding outside zipper pocket that was fabulous! ... show more
