Very compact and light Tenor sax case, with good fit and protection. I am impressed with the quality and value for money offered. Fits my standard design horn very well, although I added some tape to the neck plug in order to have it extend lengthwise a little for some extra snugness, and as you can see from the pictures its much more compact than the BAM case by horn came in. Obviously at this size there is no room for accessories outside what you are comfortable putting in the bell, but all my music is on a tablet now, which travels in its own bag along with whatever accessories I need. Purchased this Protec Tenor Saxophone Micro Zip for my Yamaha 82Zii. I have the same one for my alto 82Zii. Love the compact feel. The zipper is more of a security comfort than latches. Perfect for this horn. Sax is very snug and secure. Love the backpack straps. Not sure how a bigger bell sax would do, I had issue trying to find a case for a Cannonball sax. Would definitely recommend and buy again. ... show more

I have owned several cases but this one is by far my favorite! It’s minimal but it protects well the sax! The zipper is high quality and the straps really are fantastic! I have owned several protec cases but this one is fantastic!! Looks amazing as well.

It doesn’t have the most padding and it’s not the best protection. . But it helps for a student shlepping a tenor sax back and forth to school. It fits in the school locker. There are no sharp edges. I was worried that this might not fit my King Silversonic Super 20. I had previously bought larger cases and had used a hiscox case which was much more expensive but does have a bit more storage. This case fits a King Silversonic Super 20 like a glove and has enough room for the essentials if you put some stuff down the bell. If you want more space, you may need to buy the cover or carry an extra small bag, but this is a significantly rigid, light case that ticks off all my boxes. Shoulder straps work great. Case is very light but very strong and perceptually smaller than a BAM case. Great choice!! ... show more

Thank you Protec for offering a great tenor case at a great price . I just received this case , and I can’t speak for it longevity. But for my needs it fits the bill perfectly. I can travel either in my car or by air and even with the tenor size , I can comfortably store it without problems. I have been waiting for a case at this price with these features . In the past cases like this one cost $ 400.00 . If the lack of storage is a problem for you ! I solved this by placing my accessories in a small case that I carry on my shoulder strap . I do not at this point see any problems down the road , but if I do ? I will revisit this review to update it . ... show more

The compartment that holds the mouthpiece will not fit a mpc with a Rovner style lig and cap. The Alto version has a cloth pocket instead of this plastic cup, I am pretty sure I read Protec replaced this on the Tenor as well. Infact the 2nd image of the interior of the case in the discription is the ALTO CASE not the case that is being sold. I Will return the case and go through a local vendor to get the correct case. This may be an earlier version. They released in Aug 22 I think. Other wise I LOVE my Alto case that I received earlier this week, would get 5 stars for the Tenor but I'm obviously not SATISFIED. ... show more
