The camera itself is very good! But the card adapter didn’t work. So I recommend getting that and maybe a SD card just to be safe. But overall I love the camera. It has better play back quality when you upload it to your laptop. It’s perfect for first time users. Love it and highly recommend it because it’s a great price for good pictures. It also is so compact and has great battery life!! ... show more

    • garbage, avoid.
creates 1080p encoded video files, but I'm not sure what the camera is actual recording, because I've seen VHS with better quality. get what you pay for.

    • GOOD BUDGET CAMCORDER
So basically, I was in need of a camcorder, going for that vintage, nostalgic look, and that was exactly what it offered. It shows you the date, time if you choose to, and I was scared to be honest, because reviews were all bad, but it was amazing for the price. The weight is very light, its very compact, the video quality is good and customizeable, the microphone audio is also good, the manual explains how to use it very well too. Overall, if you are looking for that old, retro style look, this is what to buy. Also, the zoom goes from 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x. No 1.5, 3, anything like that. ... show more

    • Reminds me of the 90’s!
I love the 90’s old school quality of the videos this camera records. It is light weight and very easy to use. They user manual makes it very easy to understand the functions and settings. I purchased this as a gift for my husband for Christmas and we’re looking forward to recording snippets of our little ones and cherishing these “vintage” looking videos that remind us of footage video cameras took when we were kids. Great buy and love the price! ... show more

    • Quality Good but instructions leave a lot to be desired.
I bought this because it said it was for beginners and I had never worked a digital video camera before that you hook up to a computer or used a sd card. The instructions were not very clear and it took a lot of figuring out. I finally called someone to help me. The screen is very small. The quality of the video seemed good for what I needed it for and once I understood how to work it I found it easy to use. All in all I think it is good for the price. ... show more

    • DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THIS!
it’s $30, but the product sucks! poor picture and video quality. the recorded sound played back sounds like static. i wanted a beginner camcorder for my 7 year old. this wasn’t it! i ended up going with a much more expensive camcorder, you really do pay for what you get.
