Wonderful product, and much less expensive than other types in the same sq footage. I recently moved to a new home. For the last 2 years I was only able to have a small exercise trampoline due to lack of yard, but now have an area for full size again. My 12yo son has autism and requires one! He never liked the tiny one so was looking forward to a large one again. Unfortunately, the only place I can put it in our new yard is over a driveway area filled with rocks. I'm renting, and the owner's had an RV set up in the area. Despite ordering one with every possible safety feature, I was still concerned about the possibility of slipping while getting up or down on the trampoline's metal steps. So I spent a long time looking for a solution that would make things feel safer. I finally decided on these. I like that I was able to get them in a nice gray, which makes everything in our yard. Won't stick out like some multi color or loud color ones. I really appreciate the thickness! I ordered the 1", but if you look at one of the pics I posted you can see that it's actually a little over an inch thick! I tested walking barefoot on them over the rocks and it was nice and soft! I have no doubt it will protect all of my children from any severe harm if they happen to slip. Plus it'll protect their feet after removing shoes to go into trampoline! Because it is foam, I will also be able to cut an area out that will allow them to go around the sides of the step ladder area, too, which is great! The interlocking areas fit nice and snugly, with no gaps. And they are simple and easy to put together or take apart. Another thing I loved about these, that I didn't find in any other of the type, is the size of each tile! 24"×24" tiles make them much smoother overall and I feel like it may make them safer, although I think that's more of an irrational thing rather than actually being based on any engineering reality Lol! Regardless, I love that about them! If I need more in the future, I will absolutely be back to purchase from this company!!! ... show more

I could not find 1" foam mats sold at lower price than these. The mats are high quality and perform exactly as I hoped they would. These mats are indeed 1" thick high density foam and provide a firm yet cushioned surface for a variety of uses. I bought these mats to place under a shag rug, to provide a more comfortable surface to sit on when sitting on the floor near a window in my bedroom. I no longer suffer from joint pain when getting up from sitting on the floor with these mats under the rug. These mats are rather firm and do not provide a super soft, giving surface, but that's exactly what I wanted because high density foam has much greater longevity as opposed to low density foam. The mats are perfect for protecting floors from heavy equipment, or for providing a more comfortable floor surface for sitting, standing, crawling, and other types of physical activities. I am very happy with the product and depending on your intended use, I'm sure you will be happy with it as well.     • Slippery when you first get them; high quality mats overall

I bought the 3/4" thick mats in both blue and gray. For some reason, the gray mats were more slippery when they came and needed a bit of time to break in and get grippier. Both colors of mats needed a couple of days to "vent" because they smelled like chemicals when they first arrived. The quality control is pretty good - a couple mats had small manufacturing defects like holes and marks, but otherwise, these mats fit together well with mats of other colors (from this brand). I accidentally left a weight on these mats for a few hours, but the impression left behind recovered the next day. Overall, I really like these mats once they had some time to break in. They're pretty comfortable to lay on as well. Packaging is sturdy enough, wrapped in plastic film and comes in a box. ... show more

    • Very good for home gym/exercise room - with a couple minor caveats
Color: Grey - 1 Inch - 72 Sq Ft - 18 Tiles
We've had a 20x10 exercise area covered in these tiles for half a year now. We really like the thickness and stiffness of the tiles - when exercising, it's ideal for example dropping to a knee quickly without worrying about bruising. So 5 stars for the level of resistance or 'give' - just right. My only caveats: (1) the surface is slicker than I'd like. It's not at all slippery - no possibility of losing one's footing. It's just that with very light pressure your foot can move when doing an exercise (eg a superman on an exercise ball, the toes of your sneakers may slide making it hard to keep position). Again - ZERO issues with walking or running safety on that. (2) it squeaks pretty loudly on our hardwood floor when walking/exercising on it. Guessing this would be mitigated with a rubberized rug protector beneath; we haven't tried that. (3) The edge pieces, used to demark the outside edge of the tiled area, are little strips with the matching puzzle shapes on one side, and flat on the outside. These tend to pop off in use walking on it, so we often have to kick a 3" end back into place. Could probably put some epoxy on the ends. (4) heavy items like a chair leave indentations in the tile that don't come out. Cosmetic only, and no indentation has torn or ripped the surface. None of these caveats is a showstopper - we're very happy with the function of these things on a large area. ... show more
