This water heater is a very nice looking, very straight forward, not many bells and whistles (good thing!) no nonsense water heater. It was much heavier than I thought, but this is my 1st tankless gas water heater. The electric tankless I installed was much smaller and lighter, but I did not have enough power in my circuit breaker box to power a large whole house electric water heater. I am replacing a tank type gas water heater so I thought a natural gas tankless heater would be a good fit. I did learn many things while planning and installing this water heater. Make sure you install a very good and safe vent for the burner! I did a lot of reading and research on this topic and decided that the Z-Vent 3 Inch Horizontal Vent Kit I also found on Amazon would fit the bill for this installation. A valve instal kit is also a must. I installed a scale filter to help minimize the scaling of the heat exchanger as well. So far, the heater is working fantastic and hopefully will for years to come. ... show more

I am giving this water heater a 5 star review for several reasons. #1. It was shipped within hours after the order was placed. #2. Installation was so easy. It took less time to install than it did to remove the old water heater. #3. As soon as everything was hooked up, hot water was instant. #4. This water heater takes up less room than the one that was removed. I'm guessing this technology is very similar to cell phones. They just keep getting better over time. ... show more

We had this installed at our house with one bathroom and one Kitchen sink. It supposed to feed this with no issue but after just a couple of minutes it shuts off and stop sending hot water. We returned and ask for another, after we got the new one still did the same thing. This brand was a waste of my money because I cannot get a refound now. We install another tankless different brand of course and we have no issues with it. ... show more

Although stated as 2-day prime with a delivery date, was shipped ground and took 11 days to get here, although that has nothing to do with my 4-star rating, it was an Amazon issue. I had removed an older Paloma tankless h2o heater and it was a "like for like" install regards pipe fittings, etc, has standard American 3/4" threads, not metric. The installation was fairly easy in my case. Once fired up kept getting an E1 error code. Finally I decided to open up the cover & take a look inside, there was a hanging wire that look suspiciously like it should be connected to something. It actually was one of the h2o inlet/outlet sensor cables. Ridiculous connections, they slide off easily & don't hold. I synched them in place, replaced cover, fired up again and the heater temp climbed and voila...hot water! Its been 1 day since install, but we have hot water everywhere (a relief) and hopefully this keeps working this same way. But Fogatti should quality control those sensor connectors. ... show more

    • We found that setting the temp. at 120 degrees works fine. Setting lower runs out of hot water.

The space saving, the LP savings, the economic reasoning is sound. I t does require a Plumber with gas hookup ability - or a plumber and gas man to install it. This is not really a DYF project. We were not familiar with this brand, but research showed this to be a very good product with good reliability and at a good price. I had been advised to go for more than a 5.5 GPM unit for two people. This seems to be good advice. We are delighted with this unit so far. ... show more
