After reading some of the negative reviews, I have to stay that this product is exactly as described. Yes, the lid does not have a latch but it fits well and does not need to be secured. The plastic is sturdy. Yes, it could be heavier but it doesn't need to be. The vents slide back and forth easily. No, they do not lock but they do not need to lock. This works very well with rockwool cubes. Years ago I had a "mini hothouse" with "grow blocks" and while this tray is not heated, this works very well for seed-starting.
