I often need a 9-1/2 wide. But these 9-1/2 are roomy enough to wear a full cushion wool sock. Great traction on snow, mud, and loose dirt. Not too slippery on ice either. However the leather soaks up water like a sponge. So I treated them with 2 light coats of Obenaufs LP. Problem solved, but it did make them slightly darker and shine. These are roomy, very comfortable boots, rather light in weight, and required very little break-in. I only wear these for hiking on trails. I have 3 other Camel Crown shoes that I like, that's why I keep coming back. Camel Crown got it right again with these boots.

Four months and 40+ miles of varied hiking terrain later I still like these boots! They are one of the more comfortable boots I’ve had. Wearing them for 8-10 hours a day hiking and working in the woods is not a problem, they are solid. I’ve done brush clearing, tree trimming, hiked rough rocky ridge lines, slogged my way through swampy areas and the boots performed well. With brief immersion into water the leather uppers seem to soak up the water but my feet have so far stayed dry. I’m interested to see how they hold up long term…bottom line I’d buy them again.

These boots probably won’t hold up in harsher climates when it comes to severe rain periods & snow but for what I use them for, being a Maintenance Technician, they’re lightweight yet durable enough to withstand the strain I put on them. Great traction in grass and on pavement. Don’t go puddle hopping in these. Overall a great boot for what it’s made for. Hiking.

I bought these for work and have ultimately been disappointed in them. The laces on both boots have now broken within a couple months. One of the main reasons I chose this pair over others was the vinyl toe guards, but those have begun to separate from the leather on both boots. I'll obviously need a new pair sooner than I'd like, and I won't be buying these again. I'd expect better durability for the price.
