Description

By molding a soft, synthetic rubber in a slightly larger size than traditional marimba mallets, the SM2 achieves a full, strong fundamental tone from the instrument without excessive weight, making it an ideal “soft” marimba mallet for ensemble playing. This mallet also features a slightly thicker handle for improved balance and durability. Spur is a collaboration with world-renowned percussionists, designers and educators Kevin shah and tony Nunez. Designed with the educator in mind, the spyr series features a full suite of mallets that cover the complete spectrum of sounds required on keyboard instruments for the variety of ensembles and performances that educators lead. No more need for multiple mallet lines to outfit your different ensembles. With spyr, we’ve got you covered.

  • Good
Size: Soft Style: Marimba
They're good. They're definitely not the most high end mallet you'll find but they're worth the price. They're pretty heavy and decently soft.

  • Great For High Schooler
Size: Soft Style: Marimba
This is my second or third time purchasing these mallets. I purchased them for my daughter who is in high school and is a percussionist. She loves them they seem pretty durable. I’ve had to purchase them multiple times because she plays multiple instruments so they do wear out quite quickly. However I order them every time and I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Yes, soft heads
Size: Soft Style: Marimba
Sticks are unfinished, raw light wood. One is slightly, very slightly off of straight. It does not bother when playing marimba, however. Good value heads are nicely woven and on the heavy side.
