Features

  • ProMark JW4 mallets feature a round synthetic core with brass inserts and a layer of latex wrapped in synthetic yarn. The JW4 provides medium-hard articulation and focused tone. Finished birch handles have an ultra-smooth finish with a silky texture that feels similar to rattan but without the level of flexibility.

Designed by the internationally known and in-demand front ensemble technician, Jim Wunderlich, this nine mallet series with System Blue should not be considered for marching alone. While they have durable components for outdoor environments, the lush tone of these mallets is an appropriate and tasteful choice for indoor concert or marching settings.

For over 50 years, ProMark has been one of the worlds leading manufacturers of drumsticks, mallets, and percussion accessories. Owned and operated by D'Addario & Co., the Houston, Texas based ProMark produces products used globally by the greatest drummers and percussionists in the world, including Neal Peart, Phil Collins, Simon Phillips, Ringo Starr, and many more. ProMark Make Your Mark.

  • The JW4 speaks well in the mid to high range of the marimba, yet retains the warm, rich sound of this series of mallets
  • Length: 17" Head Size: 1.4 x 1.70"
  • The JW4 features a rubber-like synthetic core wrapped tightly with durable synthetic yarn on a lacquered birch shaft for a smooth finish with maximum strength
  • Durable enough for outdoor environments, but the lush tone of these mallets is an appropriate and tasteful choice for indoor concert or marching settings
  • All ProMark drumsticks are designed and manufactured in the USA

  • It gives out a really nice sound quality when I play it on my marimba
Style: Marimba Size: Medium-Hard
It gives out a really nice sound quality when I play it on my marimba. It gives a very rich tone, and it can handle most of my mistakes such as accidentally tapping away from the keys. The string is very strong. It has not break and loosen after wear and weathered.

  • Great, durable mallets.
Style: Marimba Size: Hard
I would describe these more as a medium-hard, but they're the ideal solo mallets. They articulate well, but also have the ability to roll and play at quieter because of the fuzzy exterior. Fairly durable as well. These are perfect for a solo player or in an indoor ensemble. Wouldn't recommend for marching activities though, except maybe on a low-end of a marimba. ... show more
