I tried these scissors on my hair, which I cut myself. I especially like that the scissors are 100% stainless steel, lightweight, and cut precisely to the tip of the scissors. Since I have small hands, the rubber inserts not only kept my fingers from slipping, but they also made it easier to grasp the scissors while cutting my hair. There's a rubber tip between the two finger inserts and a rubber cap to slip on the tip of the closed scissors, and then they can be stored safely in their leather case. Also included was a plastic comb with wide and close teeth. This was all packaged in an eco-friendly cardboard box with a thank you note from the manufacturer. Overall, I think they're a great value and I plan to use these scissors every time I cut my hair and look forward to long term use from them. ... show more

I cut my own hair when it needs a trim of 1/4" to 1/2" and really appreciate a nice pair of hair cutting scissors. Using the MTM Pro hair cutting scissors was easy and comfortable to hold. I especially like the longer length of the scissors to be able to see exactly where I am trimming. They are sharp and cut really well through the hair without pulling or slipping. The narrow comb that is included is very lightweight. I like that a cover that is included to protect the sharp tips of the scissors. Sometimes it’s the little things that delight you. I opened this box of hair cutting scissors and it wasn’t just scissors – there was also a black comb included and a protective black leather-like four-inch sleeve for the blades. These are nice touches. The scissors themselves are about the same size as my previous hair pair. They seem to cut smoothly, just as expected. The detachable finger rest is too stiff to be removed with a twist and requires a flathead screwdriver on top to turn. But that's also good because you don't want it to come off by accident. The MTM Pro hair cutting scissors are very reasonable priced and work exceptionally well. The package comes with scissors, a sheath, rubber inserts, detachable finger rest, and even a dual sided comb. These scissors have a good weight to them and feel comfortable in my hands, even without the finger grips. Contrary to the picture, the rubber inserts included with my silver pair of scissors were also silver rather than black (see photo). But, I prefer using them without the inserts, so it doesn't really matter much to me. I usually trim my own bangs and these scissors work well for that. They also work well when trimming my husband's beard. They are a nice size and light-weight, and very sharp too. In addition to a comb, two rubber inserts for the handles are also included, making these scissors comfortable to hold. For those with bigger fingers, those inserts wouldn't be needed, and they still would be comfortable to use. They also come with a four-inch fitted covering that not only protects the scissors but protects fingers from getting cut or poked by the sharp edges.
