    • The absolute best I’ve ever used - soothing, works quickly, and cruelty free!
This is my third time ordering this hydrocortisone cream. It’s absolutely the best I’ve ever used, and unfortunately I’m someone who has always struggled with itchy, rash prone skin, especially in the summer when I deal with heat rashes and friction irritation in addition to eczema (lucky me, right?). TMI WARNING, but I also have a recurring issue where, around ovulation, I get one to two days of intense itching and burning discomfort in the vulvar area. It seems to be hormonal, and my doctors haven’t fully figured it out yet, so in the meantime this hydrocortisone cream has been a Godsend. I can’t exactly scratch that area, both for hygiene purposes and because of how sensitive the soft tissue there is, so this cream is the only thing that I can use that actually provides relief. Before I’d be swollen and in pain, and now I have comfort, and I can’t even express how grateful I am for that. What makes this feel different from a lot of standard hydrocortisone creams is the base formula. A lot of basic versions rely heavily on simple petroleum or very minimal emollients, which can feel either overly greasy, occlusive, or sometimes oddly drying once they wear off. This one uses a more layered moisturizing base with ingredients like aloe, calendula, glycerin, coconut and olive oils, plus soothing plant extracts and sea-derived humectants. That combination changes the texture quite a bit. It feels more like a calming lotion-cream hybrid rather than a straight medicated ointment. In practice, that means it spreads more easily, doesn’t feel as heavy or “coated,” and seems to stay comfortable on the skin instead of either disappearing too fast or sitting on top in a thick layer. I also find it doesn’t sting or feel harsh on application, which can happen with some simpler or more alcohol-heavy bases. It’s soothing, starts working within minutes, and feels gentle enough for sensitive areas while still being effective during flare-ups. This hydrocortisone cream cleared up a really nasty (and painful!) skin rash in just 3 applications. Wow! It contains no questionable or harmful stuff, which is essential if your skin is, like mine, really sensitive. I'm delighted with this purchase and recommend it.

I am so happy to have found this product. I've recently begun shopping cruelty free and one of the many, many products that had to go was my Benadryl cream. Turns out that not only is Procure cruelty free, it also works BETTER than Benadryl! Turns out, Benadryl cream works solely as an antihistamine to block itching while hydrocortisone cream also reduces inflammation, redness, and swelling. This is really good stuff. Took 2 days to nearly get rid of rash caused by other anti itch cream as well as the bug bite and it took the itch away so I wasn't waking myself up scratching my arm. I really appreciate this being exactly what they claim it is and doing exactly what I needed it to!

    • Helped heal my itch
Good stuff. I’ve tried to diy things to help my winter dry skin primarily on my back. It’s been major annoying itching like crazy. It took a few days to relieve the itch but it definitely has helped heal my skin.

I wanted something without all the toxic mineral oil, chemicals, etc. This just has cortisone, which I normally wouldn't use, but I really needed to stop the itching and burning. This worked well and is actually healing the rash! Along with my chemical free lip balm. It was a life saver!!
