I purchased this case for my new Apple Air 5 and it fits perfectly. The magnetic cover does wake and sleep the iPad as described. The back of the case is made of clear hard plastic with a light tint of your chosen color. The front over is a softer foam type material with a deeper color than the back cover. I love the color. There are two things that kept me from giving this 5 stars: 1. The Apple pen falls off the magnetic side easily. It does stick to the iPad on the side of case, but you have to be careful when picking up or setting down your device or you’ll knock off the pencil. 2. Straight out of the box I noticed that my case had deep scratches all over the back hard shell and a large dent in the foam front cover (see pictures). I needed the case so I didn’t want to send it back. Otherwise, I like this case and as mentioned it’s very pretty.

This case fits my iPad perfectly and seems to be strong enough to protect the iPad from drops and other falls. It certainly does everything any other case easier, faster, and is less expensive to boot. It's good and comfortable to use and works as advertised - with this case, the iPad turns on when you open it and turns off when you close it - just like it's supposed to - what a concept!!!!

Defective product or damaged. Plastic back was deformed. And the screen cover damaged. If it was in new condition it would be good product. Tried heating the plastic with the heat gun, but to no avail. Only 10 bucks. But not buying from this vendor ever. UPDATE: Vendor was very quick to offer replacement or refund without me even sending back the cover/case. I couldn't return it because I tried to modify it. But the screen cover was damaged when I got it. I think it has to do with quality control. The sleep action worked as expected.

This is a good case for everyday use as it helps protect the iPad from small damages. It is lightweight and it fits the correct size iPad perfectly. When the screen opens all the way, there are three strips that can bend to help stand the iPad. The design is simple and it is nice that they have the basic colors if you are looking for a plain cover. It is also waterproof as I have spilled water before, and just easily wiped it off. Since it is a dark color the pen stains could not be seen which helps it from looking newer longer. As far as the thickness, it is lacking and it is very slim which can easily crack if something heavy is dropped on top of it. If you want to put stickers on the front or back, it will not stick well as the material is just too slippery. If you are looking for a heavy duty case that will last for a long time this is not the case. When feeling the material it will last you around 2-3 years until it will start to probably crack little by little.
