I love this stand for its price! It sets up really quickly/easily and the tool tray works great and is easily re positioned. My only gripe is the main clamp- I really need it to be quick-release. If I could simply convert this clamp to quick-release, it'd be a perfect stand for me. If I could give 4 1/2 stars, the lack of quick-release is the reason but it's a fantastic stand for it's price. If anyone knows of an easy way to convert the clamp, please let me know. I'm looking to upgrade either the clamp or just buy a different stand with a quick-release. I work on many different bikes (road, mountain, cruiser, etc) for my friends and family so I have a bike on this stand at least once a week. I didn't realize how much I would be working on bikes, otherwise I would've invested more but it was actually a great bargain. I can easily move it anywhere, in a wide variety of positions, and it's rather sturdy and doesn't take up too much room. I haven't found any problems with securing the bike, either by the top tube, slanted top tube, or seat tube. I simply hold the bike in the air, the best I can, and determine the most balanced way to clamp it in the stand. I haven't had a single problem with any bike not securely held. I'd recommend this to anyone who does the occasional bike maintenance/repair and doesn't mind the awkward nut/bold clamp assembly. It's a great tool to have in the garage! ... show more

I bought this to work on my bike while spending a month away from home and did not want to disassemble my Park Stand to take with me. I am very impressed with this model. The four legs are adjustable to give you a narrow to wide base that gives you a lot of stability. There are quick releases that allow you to adjust to almost any height or angle. It has two features I have not experienced with my Park Stand, a tool tray and a stanchion to hold the handlebars steady. Both are nice features. If possible I would have given 4.5 stars for sturdiness, as it seems very sturdy, but not as sturdy as the steel Park Stand, so I wouldn't give it a 5, but it comes close. One thing I that is a little annoying, but easily fixable, is that water gets trapped and sits in both the tool tray and the bike clamp. I am going to drill some small holes in both that will allow the water to drain without compromising the integrity of either. It only took about 8-9 min. to assemble and I cleaned both my roadie and my tri bike in about 30 min. each and enjoyed using this stand for both. Next I will change out my chainrings on the tri for mountain riding. I expect it will work well for that, too. I definitely recommend this product for those who want a portable bike stand. ... show more

Seems heavy duty. Very stable and easy to setup. Only negative is that the bikes sometimes rotate if not perfectly centered on the cg. No matter how tight I lock down the center bar with the bike clamp on it, it will still slip and spin. Make sure it is good before you turn your back to it. I have had this stand for over a year now, rebuilt several bike with it, and have nothing to complain about. Yes, the knob on the head tube can be a bit difficult to tighten, but a handy set of plumber’s pliers can add an extra ¼ turn to prevent any sort of slipping. Not a bad compromise for an inexpensive bike stand. And I have had absolutely no broken parts. Also, the stands wide base is very stable, and it holds my 50 pound Specialized Turbo Tero E Bike with no issues. I also like that I can rotate my bike on the stand. Can’t do this on a $250 Park Tool PCS 10.3 because the vertical tube isn’t round. Also the tool tray is just the right size for holding parts and tools. I have had this stand for about a week now and have used it almost every day. It came together easily and I imagine if you are purchasing a work stand to make working on your bike easier, chances are you have more than enough mechanical skill to get this put together in 5 minutes or so. The construction is solid and it is sturdy with a bike on it. My bike is a bit weighty at 40-45 lbs. with the loaded panniers on it and it handles it just fine. I have four kids, one of which is a 2 yr old little boy that loves to do anything daddy is doing, especially if it involves tools… He has pulled and poked, hung and spun, tripped and bumped it while I have been working and when I have had to step out of the room for a moment…This stand is SOLID! I have loved it so far! I can work on my bike in the best position for me and for it which really has saved on my knees and back. It does wobble a little bit if your cranking the peddles quickly, but it is still solid and this is easily fixed with a second steadying hand. Is it the best stand you can get? NO…but for $55 it is awesome! It easily folds up and can be stored in the corner, in a closet, under a bed, etc… I definitely recommend it! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was the shelf that came with it had washers too big (just a hair too big) to fit in the mounting holes. Really no big deal, easily fixed and still works great. ... show more

Excellent stand for home use. I keep it deployed in the garage to easily store my bike when I'm not riding. Works very well, even with the oversized frame tubes on my fat tire bike. Easy to set up, fold and haul around. Can be bolted down if desired. Only negative is that it's a bit tight on the upright post if you use large (wide) pedals -- have to ensure clearance if you spin the gear train around. Had to cut down the sliding tube for the handlebar support a bit (too long for my particular setup), but no big deal. Perfect for the DIY bicycle mechanic. ... show more
