The Helium Pro Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle Set is a well designed and constructed, beginner-to-advanced intermediate paddle set which includes 2 paddles, 4 recreational grade outdoor balls, and a lightweight zippered case to store and transport the paddles. I have tested and reviewed other sets by Helium and have consistently found their quality and performance to be very good and their price reasonable. The Helium Atmos XL Set includes 2 13mm thick carbon-fiber surfaced paddles. The paddles are well designed, constructed, and finished. The 2 paddles feature identical graphics design but sport a different color. They are well balanced despite the extended head length (playing surface); lightweight (mine are both 7.9oz); and feature a comfortably wrapped grip. The 4⁷/⁸" length should be comfortable for most players but those with smaller hands may find the 4.5" circumference a bit large. With the XL head, the Atmos paddles offer a larger playing surface than most paddles. I like the performance of the paddles and find them to be fairly well balanced between power and control with a slight edge toward power. The "Kinetic Strike Surface" is lightly textured and allows very reasonable spin control. The paddles are comfortable in play and manage to dampen a fair amount of shock and vibration despite their 13mm construction. I would readily recommend the Helium Atmos XL Pro Carbon Set to others.

This is my first pickleball paddle. Although I was a beginner I wanted to get something that would not need replacing once I improved. I really had so much fun my first time that I've kept playing and still use this paddle. It's even more fun now that I've been winning more often. I did some research before buying it. I spoke with experienced players and watched videos about how to pick a paddle. The features I especially like about this paddle that set is apart from other low priced paddles: - Aero Curve at the top. (allows for faster response by reducing wind resistance.) - Long handle. (allows for two-handed backhands. Producing more power with control.) - light weight (faster response and less arm and shoulder fatigue.) - textured surface (better spin control) - elongated shape (further reach and power) - Low price (2 paddles and 4 balls - less expensive than 1 Joola paddle that it shares features with.) - Design and colors (Modern and non-gender specific. Includes an extra paddle to play with your friends) - Branding (I like the name Helium and Elevate your game logo. Fonts look similar to tesla logo.) So this paddle is not just a beginner paddle, but excellent for experience players that want to Elevate their game. It deserves five stars for the price and how much I've enjoyed it. I really like the look and feel of it compared to other paddles. Balls have worked well too. The only reason that I'm taking off one star is that in my opinion it would be even better if the surface had more grit. Although it's texturized, it is not like sandpaper. I think that might help me put more spin on the ball. My next paddle will have a sandpaper finish but those cost more. Hope you've found this review helpful. Thanks, Have fun.

These paddles are super light weight with great grips and are elongated and give you maximum power. It hardly feels like you have a paddle in your hand. These paddles make it easy to get creative with your shots and I have found that I have much more control with these lighter paddles vs a heavier, beginner paddle. You get two paddles, 4 pickleballs and a carrying case which is a fantastic deal. The design on the paddle is very cool looking and everyone that has tried one of these paddles has loved them. It took a few games to get used to the difference in weight. My other paddles were quite heavy compared to these. You may experience a slight learning curve mainly due to the lighter weight. At first I was sort of "all over the place". Based on my experience, these paddles will take you to the next level if you are a beginner and are becoming a stronger player. I absolutely recommend this pickleball paddle set. I have had two other sets of paddles and this is my third set. These are hands down the best I have played with so far. I can't imagine giving these up anytime soon or moving to a different brand of paddle. I am certainly going to shop this brand again. They know what they are doing. You will have a lot of fun playing with the Hellum Atmos XL paddle.

This won’t be an expert review. I got VERY casually into pickleball because a nearby school turned tennis courts into pickleball courts, and one day a neighbor invited me to try it out as I was randomly walking by. My other paddle set, bought from a big box store a few years ago, was a small fraction of the price of these, and for four paddles. Here’s what a noob gets upgrading from a cheap paddle: *Much bigger strike face, but the paddle is the same weight or lighter. Briefly trying the Helium paddles out, I wondered why all paddles aren’t oversized like this. *Seemingly much better construction (though time will tell). I’ve had to glue and tape the cheap ones. *A more satisfying noise when hitting the ball. Very important! All in all, a very nice upper midrange (I guess that’s what it is, anyway) paddle set that won’t limit me should I ever decide to strive for moderate competence in pickleball. According to other reviewers, the texture will potentially allow me to put some spin on it someday, so watch out, neighbors.
