Bought to use as a mock tank so I wouldn't have to keep removing the original. The fuel lines look awesome and fit to the carb perfectly. The hose clamps are just the right size and provide the right amount of tension. I only have one complaint and that's that the gas tank nipple at the bottom still had excess plastic from the factory but a simple blade fixed that. ... show more

The tank is poorly formed, the barb is not made smoothly causing it to not seal. The tubing that came with it doesn't not fit the tank, not even close. The clamps don't fit either. This tank is a safely hazard due to the leaks and poor fitting tubing. One good bump and it spills gas everywhere.

The nipple where the hose connects is so poorly formed that it's impossible to get a leak free connection. When attempting to begin a return I got a warning about not getting a refund. I decided to give up since I have fuel residue everywhere.

I used this portable gas tank to troubleshoot a few gas engines that had trouble starting. The original tank got in the way and didn’t allow access to the carburetor, so I couldn’t use it. Although the description says it’s for 2-stroke engines, it can be used with other fuels as well. There’s a vent on top of the tank, so be sure to keep the tank oriented with the fuel cap up, or fuel might spill. Without the vent, the fuel wouldn’t flow, which is the same as with other tanks. The hoses are mostly transparent, allowing you to see the fuel flow, and the included shutoff valve lets you stop the flow without having to pinch the hoses. The hoses are pliable enough to fit over different sizes of fuel lines—not a wide range, but they’re stretchy enough to make slipping them on and off hoses and fuel nipples relatively easy. This portable tank kit had everything I needed to fix my lawn mowers and motorcycles, and with a few extra hoses, I think it will last more than a few seasons. It’s a good value for an all-inclusive portable tank. If the hoses were a little sturdier, I would have given it 5 stars. ... show more
