I wasn’t sure what to think about this butter dish. The 1/4’ water in the container below seemed odd to me. Well, we love it! It’s much more compact than a traditional butter dish. If you’ve never used one of these I recommend it. It’s a sturdy and heavy crock. Very pretty but I took one star off for the color. I put the yellow glove next to it for comparison. I wanted a lemon yellow like it showed in the picture. The description said “kahki yellow” I misunderstood I guess. I’m keeping it but for anyone wanting a true yellow, this is not it.
