  • Love it! Great quality for the price!
Great quality for the price! Packed very well! Minor scuffs and scrapes to the cores from the factory...but I've never seen a new radiator that didn't have some. Make sure to take the hose line plugs out and shake the radiator, I had a few small pieces of flux/weld inside the top and bottom. Easy to get out, and I flushed the whole radiator with distilled water before installing. I recommend you buy several extra gallons of distilled water and do the same with ANY new radiator...they all seem to have some kind of crud in them to flush out. <chuckle> Welds are clean and complete. Maybe a tad bit of grinding needed, but nothing I haven't just left on my own welding work. Fitment was good, slots in nicely, although it seems a tad smaller than the OEM part, small gaps on the sides of the air dams, no biggie. Fit well in the 2003 6.0. For a 2003-2004 6.0, don't forget to take the big receiver nuts for the transmission cooler lines off the old radiator...not sure why it took me a second to figure out, but it did. (The parts the transmission cooler lines themselves thread into...you'll need those!) Of course, you unscrew the quick disconnects that come installed in the radiator. Some teflon take and thread those big receiver nuts right in. Make sure to tighten up the nice brass drain cock, it's only lightly threaded in. One minor complaint, the posts on the top for the fan shroud bolts do not seem to line up, no matter how much wiggling or bending I do. Off by a good 1/2-3/4". It may just be an issue with the 2003/2004 models, dunno. The shroud is still snug and stays put, so I'm not worried about it. Overall, an excellent value for the price. Just as good of quality if not better than the super expensive mishimoto version. I would buy again, and may buy another one just to have an emergency spare! ... show more

  • Fantastic value and easy to install on 2005 6.0 Powerstroke
Installed on my 2005 6.0 with no issues. Incredibly fast shipping, arrived at my door one day after I ordered and it was well packed with no damage whatsoever. Welds looked great and it felt very heavy duty. For tips on removal of the old radiator, watch the 6.0 radiator removal video by Diesel Tech Ron (RIP) on YouTube. My old quick connect transmission cooler lines threaded in perfectly to this new one (order the quick disconnect tool here on Amazon as well). Radiator lined up perfectly in the mounting holes at the bottom and matched well on to the fan shroud. No leaks that I noticed, other than at the lower factory radiator hose (may need to get a different clamp for it). Overall it’s a fantastic value and I recommend 10/10. ... show more

  • Slight fitment issues
3.5 stars for a "good" product, certainly not "great". This seller really needs to get their packaging issues resolved. This radiator arrived with a deformed top tube that was flattened on one side. I was still able to make it work. The transmission cooling ports are not quite the right fit to accept the factory fittings. Again I was able to make them work but am unsure as to the longevity of my fix. Finally the seller still had some fitment issues. The radiator attachment points were about 1/4 inch too narrow for the existing factory attachment points. Again, I was able to make it work but it could have been much better. Finally, check this appliance very closely before you install it. Mine had a large piece of loose solder rattling around inside. It was about the size of 1/2 a quarter and didn't want to come out very easily. I WAS able to install this product in a manner that I feel is satisfactory. The radiator seems to WORK well, it holds fluid and cools well. Even with the fitment issues I believe it still represents a GOOD VALUE. To be sure, almost every problem I've noted has been documented with the higher price competition. ... show more

  • Very Pleased!
Update!!!! Got finished with the install. I had to trim my existing trans cooler fittings from an older stock replacement one to work on this one. I ended up removing .155” from the overall length. Anyone that repairs vehicles understands that replacement parts may not be 100%. This was an easy fix. I have topped off coolant and I am letting it come up to temp to check for possible leaks. Overall I have to give this radiator a 4.875 out of 5 stars. I would’ve liked to have seen fully TIGGED welds instead a mix of wire and TIG. Other than that, I AM PLEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEDDD! So far I’ve just opened the box to make sure there was no damage. I had read reviews before purchasing and the most common complaint was damage and poor packaging. I can say mine was well packaged and zero damage, I’m impressed with the quality so far too. Hopefully I will get to install it in the next few days, I will follow up with info and pics. ... show more

  • Great fit, saved lots of $$$
Bought this unit after our OE radiator with 190k miles and 17 years old blew through the plastic tanks. Original equipment is 2 layers. These are 2 layer. The comparable Mishimoto radiator is also 2 layer. With the in mind I bought this radiator. Easy installation. Diesel tech Ron YouTube was a great help. While inside the front of the engine we also replaced the OE water pump. Wasn’t leaking, but running on borrowed time. Radiator fits like a 2 layer should. There is a small gap where the old radiator sat. Aesthetically not bad, and according to the OBD scanner running slightly cooler than the old radiator, most likely due to age. We have an early model superduty with flanged transmission cooler lines. Using two wrenches, one to hold the large backing but and one to back off the flange nut. Then remove the connections from the old radiator and reuse. All connections on the new radiator were spot on. Perfect threads. Overall very pleased. Use the truck to pull our 30’ 5th wheel. Will report back if not satisfied. ... show more
