Very very cheaply made. I am worried it will break at any moment and we just opened it. *Actually, as I wrote this, the “open” button for the register broke!* . My daughter asked for a cash register for a while but she wanted one with a scanner, a microphone, and a scale. This one has all three. She (6) and her 3 year old brother are both in love with it. The beep for the scanner (and scale, and credit card swiper) is indeed very loud, but the microphone works pretty well and it seems fairly sturdy (my son has not broken it yet and it has seen some hard play over this month.) Even if the mic or scanner does eventually break, it will still be a fun toy for pretend play. A good value. ... show more

I bought this as a gift for a toddler, so obviously I am not going to open it up and play with it, but I feel a strong need to comment on the packaging. It is very Asian, with poor translations. The most amazing part is that the shopping list includes beer!! All that being said, my husband and I can't stop laughing at this and can't wait to proudly present it to overly protective parents at a 2 year olds birthday party. ... show more

This is an affordable cash register for kids. It is on the small size for my almost 5 year old, but she wanted one with a microphone and scanner. They both work- microphone is not high quality. It is weird that the receipt is in Spanish, but kiddo doesn't mind. Overall, good quality for the price.

This item was pretty much what i expected. I bought it for my 3 year old grand daughter and she loves it! I would definitely recommend this. One nit is that the scanner doesn't sit in the holder and the money should be a little smaller to fit in the drawer.
