    • Wheels are fine once you know the trick. Read this and save yourself some trouble!
We purchased this for our kids (ages 2 and 5) for Christmas, and it is a very nice little shopping cart. Sturdy, attractive (for a plastic shopping cart), and does what it's supposed to do. But, the elf in our family (me) did not do a careful assembly job on Christmas eve and we had the problem of the purple wheel covers falling off pretty much as soon as the kids starting pushing it around the house. The thing is, when I opened the package to assemble, the wheel covers were already placed over the white wheel hubs. I assumed this was how they were supposed to be attached to the cart axle, and just slapped it all together that way. But, after repeatedly trying to shove the covers back each time they fell off, I realized that the white plastic wheel hub should have been flipped around before attaching to the axle. This way, the purple wheel cover fits very securely and you should have no trouble. Unfortunately, if you first assemble it incorrectly, it's a pain to fix. Here's how to do it, if you don't want to do a tape/glue type of repair. Gently pry off one of the small endcaps (piece H in my directions) that hold the wheels onto the metal cross bar. It is easier if you first take off the pink plastic cover. I used a flathead screwdriver, working my way around and around the metal ring part of the endcap. After it was removed, the inside tabs were flared and kind of loose on the metal pole, so I gently hammered the three little tabs flat again. You only need to completely remove the endcap from one side, but you may need to pry the other side a bit closer to end of the metal rod to get the wheels to spin, since the wheel thickness is a bit larger when you have them assembled correctly. Disassemble, put the wheels together properly, and put it back together. Now you should be in good shape! Sorry if my instructions don't make sense to some readers, especially those that don't have the product (yet). But hopefully this helps some struggling buyers out there.     • Sturdy and easy to put together.
This little thing is pretty easy to put together. Assembly took about 10-15 minutes with the kids "helping". The actual basket part where you would put the food is pretty small to medium, I would say. I do like that the bottom is solid so nothing falls through. The seat for a stuffed animal or baby doll is tiny, though. My daughter can fit her infant doll but the seat is so shallow that her 18" doll won't sit upright (and it's the kind where the eyes close when she is laid down so she look like she's always asleep in the cart haha). One word of caution with this cart, though, is that I might not use it for a really young child. It rolls really well. It could be too fast for a small child who isn't walking well. Also, my daughter (5 years old) was pushing a blanket into the cart part and it tipped over. She's agile enough that she caught herself before she hit the floor, but a younger child might have fallen down. Kids fall down sometimes and that's part of life, but just thought I would mention that. I can't attest to the quality in the long term since we just recently put it together, but it seems pretty sturdy. The base is a thick plastic that doesn't seem like it will bend easily. My kids love this thing and it’s very durable and sturdy. My only complaint is that one of the purple wheels keeps falling off and it’s annoying me. I will most likely have to glue it on.

I was on the hunt for a little kids shopping cart sturdy enough for my one year old daughter to walk around the house with. All I could find at my local Walmart was a flimsy, very thing plastic one that I knew would be unsafe for my daughter. I decided to check Amazon and came across this one and I am SO HAPPY I did!!! We have had this shopping cart for 8 months now and it still looks and feels brand new! First, it helped my daughter learn to walk, waking around the house with the support she needed (see my pic)! Now she will be 2 in a few months and she is still pushing it around the house, picking anything and everything up and placing it in her cart. Another great thing about this cart is that whoever made it was very smart, because it is not top heavy at all with the thick plastic bottom, so kids cannot topple-over it. Also, the plastic material is very durable and easy to clean (see my pic)! I believe my daughter will still be using this many years to come! ... show more

    • Durable, good sized, and plenty of play
My 18 month old received this for Christmas and still plays with it 6 months later. She loves it and it is well made, so should last her and her younger brother for years to come. The basket is a good size and she loves to pile her stuffed animals in it. It is the perfect size for her now that she is nearly 2, she is on the small side and it was a little big at first, but she was still able to maneuver it. It was relatively simple to put together, especially compared to some of the other Christmas toys! I love that it comes in pink, as she is the only girl. Little tikes is our go to brand for kids toys because they are always made well and made to last. This is larger than the other shopping carts we looked at and will last her for several years without her being too big. We love it! ... show more

    • Sturdy and cute shopping cart
I bought this for my daughter for her first birthday thinking it would help her walk better. She was just starting to walk and I figured she would push this around and get better at walking. I was wrong-she wouldn't push it at all. Sometimes she would take toys in and out of the basket, but mostly the cart just sat in a corner. I was very dissappointed. However, when she got to be about 17 months old, she started playing with it and pushing it everywhere! It is very sturdy. She has never turned it over. I have read some reviews that say the wheels fall off. I have a feeling this is due to improper assembly. The wheels have NEVER fallen off of our cart. I thought about buying a smaller and much cheaper cart, but I'm so glad I didn't. I realize now that a lighter cart would not have been safe for a child her age.
