I will be the first to admit I have always been a Cobra CB owner, I was looking for something very small and decided to try this President Bill out. Any way here it goes - 1. Size is crazy, it is so small. It fits about anywhere. I have this in my LJ and I can put it anywhere. 2 Clarity crystal clear (for a CB) both TX and RX good. 3 features, I keep finding more, I guess I should have read the manual but it is pretty feature rich. Change color of display set different Em channels I rarely use 19 0r 9 for that matter so its a cool feature. 4. Internal Speaker, I rarely have a Top on my Jeep so the internal speaker is not quite enough. I use an amplified external speaker and it fixes the issue however when I am engine off and not moving the internal speaker is plenty loud. Overall Impression - I have had it for close to a year now and I highly recommend it, The size is AWESOME and it just works great. Remember with any CB the radio will only work as well as the Antenna. I do have a good quality Antenna and it is tuned to the radio. ... show more

    • Fantastic, super compact CB that works great
Great little CB! This is my first CB radio so I'm a rookie here, but from what I can tell this unit is fantastic. I researched CB's for days until I landed upon this one. All the others on the market are wayyy too big for what they are. I didn't want a huge box in my truck taking up unnecessary space. This little thing is the most compact unit I could find on the market, and it works great. Went on a weeklong 4x4 trip with a buddy and our comms worked perfectly the whole time. I'm using it with a 2ft firestik and while my swr readings are very high, the setup still worked great. The speaker is pretty loud for how small it is, and the only time it was tough to hear was when I had the windows down going 70 mph down the highway. Other than that it's perfectly loud.     • President quality in a small unit!
I run a Big Jeep Club so having a CB for communication is important. This small, compact CB actually outperforms my 10 meter Styker unit. Super easy to use and set up, love this CB and President Quality!

    • Very small CB packed with featuers.
This is a good alternative if you have very limited space. The reason I only give it four stars is for speaker performance and the channel numbers being smaller on the display. I would have omitted the frequency being displayed and opted for larger channel numbers. I would have also opted for omitting the usb port and making the screen wider or used that space for separate squelch. I compared the President Andy, President Bill, President Johnny III, and Uniden 980SSB (already owned the uniden as a base station). I didn't have room for the Uniden so I went with the President Andy. The tipping scale between all the president models was the speaker loudness. Means I don't have to have an external speaker. With the Bill model I definitely would have needed an external speaker and possibly for the Johnny model. The Uniden and the Pres Andy both had good speakers on par with each other. Pro's small, quick access to wx, channel change on mic, quick clip bracket or standard c bracket, 7 screen colors. 9/19 button, front usb port, channel buttons on mic Con's lot of static on reception / bad reception (might have been an antenna issue at the time), small lcd screen, no pa, no scan quick key, scanning slow, press on screen to change channel, not very loud speaker and some users may need external speakers, no talkback option ... show more

    • Lots of features in a small package with good build quality
Spent about a month reviewing various CB radios before deciding on this one. The space in my vehicle was/is very limited, so I knew I wanted something small, but it had to have certain features. I'll go over them below one at a time. The thing is only about the size of a pack of smokes or small block of cheese, it is TINY. You can mount this just about anywhere, for which a mounting bracket is included. The speaker on it is very loud. You'd think that because it's so small that the speaker might lack punch, but that's not the case. I've used this thing driving on the highway at speed during a super heavy thunderstorm, and I could crank it loud enough to be heard over that. This thing has two features that I think every CB should have (though some don't): a scan function, and weather radio. Scan is absolutely necessary given that CB isn't super popular anymore, so you pretty much need it to find transmissions. Weather radio is useful for obvious reasons while you're traveling. It even has weather alerts, although they don't seem to work correctly. If I turn them on, it randomly changes me to the weather channel, even if there's no talk of severe stuff. The build quality is great. This thing feels like a brick in your hand. Is made mostly of metal, and you'd have to be extremely careless to break it. The automatic squelch control mostly works, though oftentimes it allows incredibly weak transmissions through that are nothing but static. Overall, I'm very happy with this, and wholeheartedly recommend this thing if you don't want your CB to take up a lot of real estate, but want almost every feature you could ever need. I wanted a small CB radio for my truck. Did not want to install a monster radio and take up a lot of room or be in the way. This was a perfect little radio that fits perfect in a small spot. Sounds great and works great. I like that it has access to weather and alerts. Matched it with a Firestick antenna on a spring and quick disconnect. Looking for a simple CB radio to use while driving long distance with my camper and not everyday use or all day ratchet jawing....This is a good little radio for my needs ... show more
