I purchased this to me and to my wife for our trip to Greece. They came with directions about the activation process. We followed them precisely, and voila', the sim cards start working as soon as the plane landed in Greece. The cell signal was strong throughout Athens, Delphi, and Meteora. I do recommend this sim card.

This is a reseller of SIMS. The factory packaging is clearly labelled 'not for resale'; so if anything goes wrong you are on your own. The 3 contract clearly states that the SIM is meant for use based in the UK. So buying this card to travel around Europe is not a good idea. The seller claims that its easy to top up the card, but this is not the case. The phone app for tracking usage worked OK but the account wouldn't let me top up because 3 didn't know who I was and wouldn't let me modify my account. I was eventually able to call 3 and top up (like all big companies 3 is not easy to communicate with) but then it turned out that I couldn't use the data I had purchased because I had hit the 12 GB monthly roaming limit (I was in France at the time). So two weeks into my trip I had to abandon the SIM and all the money I had put on it and get a new SIM. Buying a SIM card directly from the cell phone company that operates in your destination country ensures that you know the terms of the SIM card you have purchased and is also significantly cheaper. You have to do a bit of research and these companies sell directly to you (not on Amazon), but its a vastly better way to go.

I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing this sim card, and decided to give it a try. So basically, if you follow all the instructions written in the user manual that came with the sim card, it will work fine in Europe. Since I purchased the activation required sim card, as soon as I received my sim card, I immediately completed the activation application online via the link provided in the manual. We are advised to complete the activation process at least 2 days before the date of use. The info needed in the activation process was simple - Amazon order number, activation date, ICCID (SIM card barcode number that starts with 89) and email address, and that's it. You will receive an email after completion for confirmation. On the day of travel, I only inserted my sim card when I was in the air and my phone was on airplane mode. So when I landed, I was able to use it right away. There were some text messages that came in through the sim card number as soon as I turned on the line. It was saying "Your GBP10.00 Top-up's good to go - so your new balance is GBP0. It's a 35p per minute, 15p per text, and 10p per MB of data....". I basically just ignored the messages, as the sim card worked perfectly fine in the UK for my one week stay. I even made a few calls in between and the data connection was stable and good (remember to turn on the data roaming for this sim card). I did not have to go in to the APN settings. But when I went to France, I had to go in to the cellular settings to adjust the network selection on my phone. It was default to be automatic on my phone, but if I turned that off, I can select different telecom lines that provide stronger network connection. Once I selected the telecom network of my choice, it worked perfectly fine in France, no other steps required. I would purchase this sim card again for my next Europe trip.

I bought the SIM card for Europe (Italy) and it was supposed to be for 30 days/18 GB but service was completely cut off without warning on day 26 after less than 6 GB were used. The customer service is an AI chatbot that is takes you in circles and is not very helpful and only gives you options to buy another SIM card. If you are persistent with the AI chatbot and wait a day or two, a human will eventually intervene. After wasting a lot of time trying to log in to the network provider's web site, customer service decided to provide a replacement e-sim without charge. The only problem was that the SIM card I originally purchased included unlimited phone calls and texts which is what I really needed. However, the replacement e-sim they provided did provide for data coverage. Generally, the coverage is good (5G mostly) all over central and southern Italy, even outside of the big cities. The only problem I ran into was that service stopped early and without warning. I changed my review to 4 stars after customer service provided a refund due to service cutting off earlier than advertised.

This was sooo worth the buy, I’m so happy with this purchase! I set it up days before traveling like the instructions said and once I landed in the UK, the SIM card worked without any issues. All I needed to do was insert it in my phone- no other set-up necessary. I received a UK # and was able to make calls within the UK and had more than enough data for my two week vacation. There were minor moments of poor connectivity, but aside from that, it worked fine. I would definitely use again! Please note this SIM card will not allow calls or texts outside the stated regions.

I bought this SIM card for use in England for 11 days. The activation process was seamless and the directions were very clear. It seems that this product is well supported. The problem I had was slow and spotty data coverage. Even in central London, there were many times when I couldn't access web sites, even when I was outdoors and signal strength was showing 3 bars or more. Accessing directions using Google Maps was hit or miss. When indoors, the data performance was completely unreliable. It did work well when I used it to navigate from Oxford to Highclere Castle in my rental car using Apple CarPlay, but it's a shame that the coverage isn't more reliable in major metro areas.
