We bought 3 of these just like the picture. Instructions very straight forward and their little video was so helpful how to hang. My husband and I knocked it out in one night with 3 busy kids around. Like most any RTA (Ready To Assemble) furniture, there will always be some discrepancies with the finished product. As the manufacturer can't inspect the finished item to reject for poor fit/finish. The PROS: Every screw, nut, bolt is included (more in this later). Every hole is pre-drilled for accurate assembly. Color has been consistent thus far with our first set D purchased and installed. Packed securely and efficient to protect as best as possible from Canada to US distribution center and finally via common carrier. Accidents happen even with the best companies but what's important is whether Prepac stands behind their products. With our first set D purchased, it was missing 1 (one!!!) of those cam post screws on wouldn't you know it, while building the 3rd cabinet. A quick call to Prepac and they had it shipped out the next day. Problem here is the hardware count is 100% exactly what you need. So no spares to cover such a mistake. So the assembly came to a screeching hault for about a week for a single part from Canada.e So word of advice. Inventory all your hardware BEFORE you start assembling, it even states that in the instructions. Also one of the cabinet doors were warped, so that too was replaced. 5 stars for customer service, 4 stars for quality control. The CONS: for the weight (MDF is some dense/heavy stuff) the weight limits per shelf are slightly less than a comparable lighter metal cabinet, however, I'm not sure if one is better than the other, as metal dents, MDF - better not expose to much moisture. Total we ordered two sets for the garage. Set D and Set G (from a different vendor but reason is below). Neither one was 100% perfect, every set required a call or email to Prepac. On Set G, one of the box expansion foam leaked from it's plastic baggie and stuck on a left side panel and both door edges. I reached out to Prepac and they didn't seem to have an answer for me to cleaning off the stuck on foam other than asking which parts were affected. So no sure if they are planning to simply replace them or what just yet. As the email thread went cold after that last exchange. Side Note: this part is NOT a reflection on Prepac but rather Amazon logistics. The first set D shipped with 6 UPS tracking numbers as the 3 piece set comes in 6 boxes. The second set G, also comes in 6 boxes but we were provided with a single Amazon logistics tracking number. Guess what? Nothing showed up in the scheduled day. We reached out to Amazon 2 days later and after much back and forth, we were informed that the shipment was returned to Amazon due to package damage. Nothing showed up in the normal "where's my stuff" about this. Worse part, timing is everything right? The cabinets were for our new house and plans were to install these right before the moving truck arrived. Now Amazon showed out of stock so we opted for another set D instead. Murphy's Law kicked in. The order showed an arrival date. A shipment was done, but only 1 (single box of the 6) was delivered. I had to push my way with customer service since they showed it delivered, I show including the photo taken by Amazon delivery of a single box. How was I supposed to assemble 3 cabinets from one box I explained. So Amazon customer service agreed to reship a replacement and have the single box picked up. Remember Me Murphy? Well, he must have been hanging out because the replacement order, only showed up with, you guessed it. One, single box!! Now the moving truck had came and went for about a week and unopened boxes were piled up in the garage waiting for somewhere to go. Not trusting Amazon for yet another delivery, a call to customer service, the same story about 3 cabinets couldn't possibly be delivered in a single box and what can we do about this. The agent even suggested we order from some other vendor as there must be a problem with merchandise logistics coding. So off to a competitor and we were able to get the set G we wanted in the first place. They were installed and like I said, some quality control issues but that review is for a different website. ... show more

Everything arrived over a 5 day period in different boxes. Everything had scratches, dings, blemishes, nothing aligned. Manufacturer did not help either.

Overall, I'm rather pleased. When I opened up the packaging for all 6 boxes, I noticed a few pieces had some minor scratches from shipping. This was consistent with a lot of the other reviews, so it was not unexpected. One side piece had a partially damaged corner, and the expandable packaging foam had leaked on to 2 or 3 pieces as well. Overall, the majority of pieces were in perfect shape, and the exterior of all of the doors were in perfect shape. I was able to put the scratched and slightly damaged pieces on the interior walls where the cabinets touch, so no-one will ever know. Assembly and installation was fairly straight forward. I was strong enough to hang them by myself, but I recommend a second set of hands. The cabinets are 3/4" MDF, but felt very sturdy. I loaded all 3 up with a bunch of my kids sports gear and our camping gear. Nothings on the heavy side, but we'll see how they hold up over time. ... show more

All boxes came in the same shipment and the heavy pre-pack cardboard was undamaged. I assembled and hung 6 cabinets in one day on my own. I was able to hang the cabinets myself, but would probably recommend some help per the instructions. Only problem was 2 of the door handles were mis-threaded, but replacements are on the way.
