I received two of the same side panels, but the manufacturer really came through. I just used the online order form to order a new part. A customer service specialist contacted me almost immediately and within a week or so I had the replacement. Because it was a side panel it was a BIG part, but Prepac did not even blink about sending the replacement. This is what customer service should be so even though I had to wait a bit for the replacement part, I am giving them 5 stars for making it right and saving me the headache of a return. If this happens to you just contact the manufacturer online or by phone. I purchased it for a small bedroom space, and it has turned out to be a solid and functional choice — especially for the price point. Assembly & Labeling: The assembly process was straightforward. All the pieces were clearly labeled, which made following the instructions much easier. I’ve put together a lot of flat-pack furniture before, and this one didn’t give me any trouble. You’ll definitely want a screwdriver or drill on hand — and a little patience. Took about 90 minutes solo. Drawer Depth & Storage Capacity: Each of the six drawers offers decent depth. They’re not super deep — I’d estimate about 5–6 inches of usable internal depth — but they’re well-suited for clothes, undergarments, small linens, or accessories. The vertical design makes smart use of space, and it holds more than I expected for its narrow footprint. Material & Build Quality: The dresser is made of laminated particleboard, and while the body feels decently sturdy once assembled, the drawers themselves have plastic runners and drawer bottoms. These aren’t designed to hold very heavy items — so I wouldn’t load them with books or bulky electronics. That said, for everyday clothing and bedroom storage, it functions just fine. Sturdiness & Functionality: Once put together, the frame is stable and doesn’t wobble. The drawers open and close smoothly on the plastic glides. While not heavy-duty furniture, it’s more than sturdy enough for regular bedroom use. I’d suggest anchoring it to the wall if you have kids around — it’s tall and narrow, so safety first. I know it can be risky buying furniture online regardless of reviews- I purchased this dresser for my 7 yr old son so I knew it would have to be a solid and sturdy piece. The box arrived and I was immediately impressed by the weight of it. Press board like everything else but it is thick and solid. The directions were clear and everything was included minus a screwdriver and a hammer. I assembled this in an afternoon by myself. I did go the extra step and woodglued every screw hole and every joint especially the drawers. Afterwards I painted it with chalk paint. For the price I do believe you are most definitely getting your money's worth. I'm confident it will last for years to come.
