This is a good chest of drawer for the money if you want something for the kids that won't be a huge waste to throw away later after it falls apart. It is 100% particle board with veneer covering. You can make it last a few more years by adding some wood glue in the joints while assembling it. If you use some plastic part grease like Super Lube on the cheap plastic drawer rails it will greatly Improve the way they work. I also glued the rails in with the wood glue. As far as I am concerned those turn clamp panel joiners they use in cheap furniture are only good for clamping panels together for gluing. If you don't add glue they will only hold for a few years, or when someone falls or moves the piece. ... show more

Awesome dresser! Was very hesitant due to reviews not being that great but it’s actually amazing! It did take about two hours to assemble between me & my boyfriend but we aren’t the best at reading the hard instructions but we overall got it done & I would so recommend to anybody looking for an affordable fast shipped dresser, it wasn’t missing any other parts aside from one of the screws for the handle knobs but I just crazy glued it and it’s held up perfectly! 10/10 would recommend for anybody if your looking to buy a good value for your money dresser look no more this is it! ... show more

I bought this chest with great trepidation due to the negative reviews that I saw on Amazon. However, after months of searching I decided to go ahead and order it as it was exactly what I was looking for. I received it and put it together the other day, and will say that I was pleasantly surprised! Not only did the product arrive totally undamaged, but all parts were accounted for as well. Although I've only had it for 2 days, here are my pros and cons at this point: Pros: 1. As I stated, the product was received in perfect condition. I was not expecting this based on the reviews that I read. 2. I found it extremely easy to put together, although tedious. A lot of things that need to be screwed together, but pretty simple. I guess it took me about 4 hours putting it together by myself. 3. I was surprised to find that the back piece was thicker than expected. It is 1/2 inch particle board. I thought it would be more like the thin cardboard that is used as backing on bookshelves and other types of cabinets. 4. Once screwed together it seems pretty solid. The drawers do jiggle a bit when pulled in an out, but nothing too extreme and not unexpected for this price point. 5. The drawers are large and very roomy. I bought this to store my various electronic accessories and it works perfectly. Cons: 1. Whereas the back panel was heavier than I expected, the bottom of the drawers is much lighter than expected. The drawer bottoms are basically a thick piece of cardboard, so you need to watch the amount of weight you put in them. Unless you're in the habit of dropping things into drawers however, I do not expect that this will be a problem as long as I keep the weight limit in mind. 2. Although the instructions did not call for it, in order to add more support to the drawers I used glue in the groove to attach the drawer bottoms in addition to the screws provided. 3. Overall the assembly was very easy; all of the pre-drilled holes where where they should be. The one thing it was lacking however were holes for the finishing nails to use on the drawer bottoms. Rather than spending five minutes trying to tap in each nail, I drilled holes which made the nailing job easy. 4. The rails the drawers ride on are metal but they have a plastic wheel. Only time will tell how well this plastic wheel will hold up. 5. Be sure to pay attention to the instructions when they say not to over tighten screws! I put a small crack in one of the drawer sides over tightening. I also put a small bulge in the side panel by hammering the wood dowel in too hard. This was my bad, but keep it in mind. 6. I thought it was a bit pricey for the money, but it had the exact dimensions that I needed. If I had a little more room to play with there were other options that were cheaper than this product. All things considered, I am very happy with this purchase. Hopefully there will not be a problem with the plastic wheels on the drawer glides in the future. ... show more

I decided to buy myself a narrow, tall chest to store all my tops and socks etc. and this caught my eye after hours of googling. Pros: 1.looks pretty good quality 2.very clean looking with the white surface 3.easy to assemble alone (I'm a skinny woman so if I can do this anyone can) 4.doesn't take much space (width) not really cons but might need improvements: 1.some parts might have chips (mine had tiny chips on the front of the two drawers but I didn't mind) 2.there were far less nails (36ish) than the intended 56 or so (written in the manual) but it doesn't matter as I only needed a few each drawer anyway. 3.the very back of each drawer might not be that easy to see as the drawer doesn't really pull out all the way out unless you really pull out the whole thing. 5.some of the the included knobs won't screw tightly (broken?) so I swapped all of them with my crystal knobs and worked great 6.the black screws are pretty hard to screw on with your hand cause the holes on the front panels of the drawers were pretty tight (small). but even for a weak person like me, screwing them on by hand was possible. it's just that I had to take small breaks after screwing the black screws (4 each drawer) I still have 2 more drawers to assemble but overall, I'm satisfied with this lovely chest.
