No, you are not getting a solid wood piece of furniture. You are looking at 4 figures minimum for that. This is engineered wood but had no issues upon assembly or daily use. This is easy to assemble and looks quite nice upon completion. If you notice gaps between the drawers and dresser, you have the drawer in wrong. It is very easy to do since the drawers slide so nicely whether they are in the track correctly or not. No need for a major change - just pull the drawer back out from the dresser and try inserting again. It may take a few times and give a few good laughs at your spouse. I purchased two for a walk-in closet due to the lower height sits a few inches below shirts on hangers and would buy again. ... show more

So the dresser is ok, it was easy to build by myself and the instructions were easy to follow. I will say the piece along the bottom on the front got damaged, I was not "man handling" it by any means, I put in the peg and put the board on top like it says to and the peg went straight through the front. I had to use spakel to try to fix it which you can see in the images. This dresser will not last a lifetime, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t recommend. It’s not terrible but its DEFINITELY NOT worth the hassle. Putting it together took about 2hrs & a half. I hate the fact that you have to screw the bottom of the dressers in. Assembly was very difficult. Similar pieces were not labeled and I was left to more or less guess what orientation they were supposed to be in, resulting in some mistakes. Also, product had several scratches on it. They give you a sharpie to cover up the scratches in the original packaging so this seems like a common occurrence ... show more

I reached out to the manufacturer & they are able to ship out a replacement piece this week, even though the item came from Amazon’s warehouse! The manufacturer customer service was great. We were looking for a specific type of dresser that would not break the bank. My 8 year old set this up with minimal adult supervision (adult was in the room since our 3 yo was in there and wanting to help). 3 year old helped with adult supervision ( child put the knobs on the drawer) drawers can be easily pulled out of the cubby since there isn’t hardware to stop it from fully coming out of the track/ cubby. ... show more

I’m fairly mechanically inclined and it took me a solid 3 hours to assemble. This is probably too difficult to assemble for the average customer. Also, it’s very heavy (approx 75lbs) and therefore gets pretty beat up during shipping. Ours came with several deep scratches and a good sized chip. We are going to try to get a partial refund for the damage. Little chance yours will arrive without damage. If I had to do it over again I would spend a little more for a fully assembled dresser from a furniture store and have it delivered. ... show more
