We purchased this due to our dog killing the grass repeatedly in our courtyard. We only had a 2’x14’ strip of grass and I have replanted grass in that area for four years. After each good stand of new grass her urine would eventually kill it. This artificial grass looks great, is very durable, and was easy to install. My install when as follows- I removed about 4” of dirt where I wanted to place the artificial grass, I put a 3” layer of 1/4” crushed rock, then an inch of play sand on top of the crush before cutting the grass to size and laying it in place. After rolling it a few times, I anchored it to the ground with landscape felt pins. Remember, if you plan on rolling it, leave a little extra in the cut areas so it’s not too short. I am very pleased, any urine soaks through the grass, sand, and crush rock. We get plenty of rain but between rain we do hose it off so we never get a smell. I give a five star. If I need to replace this grass, I will reorder the same. ... show more

I got this for my dog after moving to AZ and he loves it! After I took these photos, I properly installed it with 6 inch turf stakes, some drainage areas and topped it with zeo infill to help with the smell of urine. My dog doesn't pee on it the turf that often but I've noticed a slight urine smell linger despite spraying it with water occasionally. Nothing too bad but just slightly noticeable. I love that the turf is longer, looks nice, not too fake looking and my dog instantly started rolling around on it when I unraveled it. Also, I got this when Arizona was over 115 degrees daily and the turf wasn't nearly as hot to touch as I thought it would be. I would buy it again. ... show more

I had an area that never grew grass nicely. I paid a professional landscaper to install this and it wasn’t cheap but I’m glad I did it right. He put 4” of aggregate under it. It drains great. The dog loves to lay in it. She also goes potty on it and that is no problem. It comes up easier than picking it up off the grass. Looks real. See for yourself. ... show more

The huge number of cut-to-order measurement options worked out perfect. Dimensions were accurate and received in a single rolled piece. I do wish it was just shipped as a long roll though. Mine was folded in half THEN rolled, resulting in a crease down the middle that hopefully goes away. For installation, I tried both steel stakes and yard staples- the yard staples worked way better. I placed the artifical grass directly over small/medium gravel after tamping it flat, then hammered in the staples around the edges. That's not the "correct" way, but it works good enough for a dog run and adds great visual appeal. ... show more
