Got it for $100, so essentially 1$ per pound plus a stand. It did have a fresh rubber Chem smell, but that's just the coating that keeps the rubber from drying. I washed it off and the smell went away after a week. The weights are good. No complaints. Putting the stand together was easy.     • SMELL.. NO GO!
There dumbells work perfect, and are very sturdy. They can do the job you want them for if.. If and only if you use them in a well ventilated area. I had two days running around my house thinking there was a paint spill somewhere, or a carbon monoxide leak, as my house had this horrible smell. I couldnt figure it out.. and then I smelled the dumbells and got sick. The odor is VERY STRONG, and VERY NAUSEATING. I will be returning for that reason. I have been feeling sick to the stomach in my own home with this paint smell. My Aeramax air filter has not stopped working since these things entered the house, and my air quality has been on RED (bad) since. Just go fo another brand thats not rubber... I was thinking of putting these outside and letting then air out, but I cant imagine what itll smell like on an 87 degree day back there with the amount of odor these things have in room temperature.. ... show more

Purchased these weights on sale on Prime Day. The box arrived severely damaged, just due to how heavy the item was, but thankfully nothing inside the box was damaged. There were no instructions to assemble the stand, but it was fairly simple to figure out and did not take too long. The weights did have a VERY strong smell of rubber/plastic when they arrived, but after they aired out for a week or two it became less noticeable. As for performance, they are well made with grooves to help with grip. They’re not as comfortable as the neoprene style weights, but they are not uncomfortable to use. I really like the rack they came with, it looks sleek and makes storage easy. Overall they are versatile weights and perform as expected. They’re great for a beginner like myself. However they ultimately lost a star due to the bad odor, shipping issues, and not including instructions to assemble the stand. ... show more

When I finally got a shipment that had all the pieces and instructions it was easy to put together and is great quality. I have a dumbbell set from 5lb-50lbs and it holds all of them. It’s a little wobbly and not as sturdy as I’d like but it’s sturdy enough and good construction. It’s not all steel like the description says. First package didn’t come with all the parts and had parts missing as well as no instructions but I was able to replace it easily and the second package had everything. Yup, they are weights and good for your lifting purposes. However, they smell. When they arrived, I put them outside on my deck for several days and finally could take them inside after 5-7 days. If you can’t leave these outside for the first week, I wouldn’t buy them. The rack has no instructions and it’s wobbly, but still works just not ideal. I use sticky pad gloves with them so my hands don’t touch them as the grips can be uncomfortable. I did weigh them on my scale and they are true to weight. I bought the 5-50lb set with the rack and for $800 which included the rack, the weights themselves were a little over $1/pound. Most sets like this are over $2/pound or around $1,200 with no rack. The rack is a little wobbly side to side but sturdy with no worries that it would fail. The weights themselves seem very nice and well made, and I reweighed them on a scale and they were all within 1 pound of the listed weight. Super happy with the purchase so far, even though it’s only been a few days. I see no reason why these won’t last the rest of my life. Great value! Update: The pair of 30’s were lost during shipping, and I reached out to the supplier and after a few emails back and forth, they sent another pair at no charge to me. Great customer service! 4 months in and all the weights are still great. Another Update: They dropped the price to $650 and what a deal at that price. You’d be hard pressed to find the weights themselves at that price, nonetheless the rack in addition. Now I just wish theyd honor the $650 instead of the $800 I paid a few months ago! ... show more
