I've slept on a dreamcloud, beautyrest, helix and most of these tend to sink after 6 months to a year. It gives me so much neck and back pain, I spend more on massages than the expensive mattresses themselves. This time I've decided to try something different and I don't regret it. The floor provides a solid base that will never sink yet this tatami mattress provides enough comfort cushioning that I have a good night's rest. The mattress is also portable so you don't have to spend extra on moving a heavy bed frame. I'm done with the traditional bed as this is the way to go. This mattress is spongy and springy. It feels comfortable to sit and sleep on. My cats love it too.

i usually don’t write reviews, but this thing is amazing!! i have a futon couch that i always keep flat, but the metal rod in the middle was unbearable. i got the twin size and put it on top and i cant feel the bar at all anymore!! the mattress is a perfect thickness and is so comfy. worth every penny in my opinion.

Seems thin, but super comfy to sit and lay on. Can be a bit stiff if trying to have it on a less than flat surface. Works perfectly for what I needed though. Quality feels nice, durable, and cushioning.

I wanted a Japanese style futon but didn’t want to commit to an expensive mattress. This is turned out to be fantastic its nice and firm with just the right amount of cushioning. Says it’s 3 inches thick but it falls a bit short in that measurement, but i don’t notice any difference. I’ve slept on it a a couple of nights and i find it super comfortable better than my regular bed, my back doesn’t hurt in the mornings. I’m 5’9” 145 - 150 pounds and works great for me. Although I don’t see how it’s foldable, its pretty firm and doesn’t exactly bend or fold up with out maximum effort i just lean it against the wall when not in use. Maybe rolling it would work but that also takes some effort.

10 out of 10. I purchased this for our dog due to a back injury. He's not allowed to jump on his favorite couch, so this allows him a comfy space to stretch out and sleep. He loves his dog beds, but this is nice and big.
