This such fun to use and makes extracting the core a snap. My previous tool had to be rotated and took a lot of effort. This is an in-and-out, one-time operation and always goes smoothly. It even springs open for easy cleaning. A great product.

Probably the best apple corer I've had. The serrated half-circle corers are weak and bend easily. The full circle corers are strong, but the core gets stuck in them and it's sometimes hard to get out. This corer has all the strength of a full-circle corer but is easy to get the core out and clean. It's especially easy to grip, which I appreciate since I've had a stroke. The only drawback is that the spring-hinge is strong, too, so those of us with a weak hand may find it difficult to open. Completely worth it, in my opinion, in exchange for the sturdy make and easy grip. ... show more

ABSOLUTELY the BEST way to go... I had the other "tray type" corers ages ago. I HATED it and never bought another one. That video that shows the person trying to get it to cut (slices) through to the bottom reminded me that I did that and eventually broke it. I DID NOT want to get that tray thing again-til Thankfully I saw this one! You DON'T have to push too hard (but DO need to push a little) and turn the unit, but it is sooo much easier I'm tempted to get another one right now, but I'll wait awhile.... Seriously this one IS the way to go. NO I'm not affiliated with the company, I'm basically surprised how easy it really is to now core apples. Guarantee you won't be sorry! This was the perfect solution for my kids eating apples. It works great at getting the core with little effort and I love that it pop open to dispose of the core and easy cleaning. We’ve used for several months with no signs of wear, so I expect this to last us. Perfect for the little gala apples all the way to the big honey crisps. And the perfect solution for toddlers not knowing really how to eat an apple and either nibbling the outside or eating way past where they should’ve stopped. This has given them the same independence of getting the whole apple (a big deal for my toddler) while letting him know he can eat the whole thing. I absolutely love this apple corer. The only draw back is sometimes I have to go through the apple 2-3 times depending on the size of it to get all the seeds. But other than that, it is super easy to use and clean.
